Q: wheres the repair on this coin Feb-13-10 A: I am not sure. ANACS has labeled this item repaired-whizzed so my best guess is that perhaps there may have been scratches in the field that were buffed out. When I sent this coin to ANACS I felt the piece was lightly cleaned. Never dreamed they would call it whizzed. Whoever did the repair did a great job. This is a great coin for the money.
I don't know who is worse, the miguided people who clean these coins or the misguided people who misrepresent what they are selling. The latter have no business selling coins anywhere.
That Ebay seller should get a job writing "genuine and problem coin copy" for a major auction company.

<< <i>That coin is such an abomination I wouldnt have it in my collection if it were free. I just could not stand to look at thing. >>
"yeah lightly - I would not be interested in this coin if they dropped a zero off the end. "
Comments like this make no sense to me. Being that the coin is an AU50, it would be a great pocket piece for 20-25 years, and by then may wear down to an "honest" VF25 or so with no signs left of the trauma its been through already. I would take that coin for $270 in a NY minute!

Thats true. I think that if he were to auction it without a reserve it would sell for around $1000. But, its just so incredibly ugly and painful to look at that many people wouldnt want it period.

<< <i>That is very sad. Probably some profiteer in the past trying to make a quick buck.
Ironic that he wrecked the coins value instead of enhancing it.
