Pd dangerously close to $500

I suspect $500 will trigger a bunch of selling. Hell, I'm even considering it.

I honestly can't decide whether to sell or buy palladium. Some psychological disorder I have makes me want to hold PM's in round number amounts (10, 50, 100, 500, 1000, ect). So my disorder tells me I either need to sell 10 or buy 40. Can't decide what to do.

It's human psychology that it's hard to sell when prices are going up... but no one wants to buy when prices are falling.

The recently-launched palladium ETF may be adding to demand and helping support the price.

Since they announced the ETF, I don't think Palladium has been below $400.

Edited to add -- this chart is instructive:

  • You might be right Weiss, it could trigger a swing. Pd has been moving good. It didn't take long to go from 300 to 490. We could be pushing 600 within the next few months. Nickel has been on a tear as well.

I just purchase a maple round on the BST last week. Selling at this point hasn't even entered my mind. I'm koo koo for palladium. image

    Speaking of which...

Does anybody know if the RCM is going to produce the 2010 Palladium Maple Leaf?
    What about the UHR?

Don't know about the Maple Leaf, but I believe the Palladium UHR has been shelved.

    BTW as of this AM: PALLADIUM 04/02/2010 00:59 491.00 499.00 +2.00

    Getting so close to 500

Thats exactly when I buy PM's. I LOVE watching the metals take a pounding on wall street!
