Jefferson Nickels (or this is why you DO buy raw on eBay ...)

Okay, now I want to assure you, I am NOT advocating buying raw on eBay ... there are many, many pitfalls and it is NOT a game for the
inexperienced or the faint of heart

... but ...

there are times, if you know the series you are pursuing and you see something worthwhile ... and you KNOW (not think, guess or hope) ...
but KNOW what you are looking at ...

you have to pull the trigger!

I am not a Jefferson Collector per se ... but I do appreciate the series, and I do appreciate the package I recieved last Thursday from a previously
unknown (to me) eBay seller

Glad you have your flame suit on.... they are both harshly cleaned and worth less than face value. image

Gorgeous coins! I'm guessing the price was a steal too! Nicely done!

I don;t know if you're joking or what but the coins look fine to me.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!

    1938-S-----MS66.
    1939-D Rev. 1940-----MS65.
both coins look as though they have been dipped.

that's how i see them judging from the pictures so judging how well you did is predicated on how much you paid for the coins.

    Todd,

Nice pickups! They aren't cleaned. Dipped, eh, I'm doubting that as well although it's possible but wouldn't hurt them anyway. They still have plenty of luster and look great!
I am guessing they would both grade MS66 at PCGS.
