This card has everything going for it. Tough, tough high number, HOF player, gorgeous blue spring-training sky. Hard as heck to find in the early '80s when I was trying to finish off my '66 set. Along with Perry, Coleman, and Clarke, one of the last cards I needed.
<< <i>Went a little nuts back in the day buying '75 minis. Always loved the Yount card look with the colors and him all by himself. Doug

I'm a big fan of this one. Love the fielding pose and the 75 design and colors as well as the player. Cool to see him as a teenage to young twenty something who doesn't look much like the guy who would celebrate his 3000th hit. As well as the nice landscape view in the background. For me, it's 57 Unitas. Always wanted one as a kid even though I didn't see him play and only knew of the legend. And love the big grin and the flattop. I like the design of the 57 with the colors and the two images. In the case of the Unitas, I like the action pose that is so particular to the timeframe. You're not going to see Brady or Manning in that pose. Also a sucker for the cartoons on the back.
Wow, even though this topic gets re-started every so often on here, it never fails to disappoint. Great cards, guys!
My favorite comes down to a tie between these two cards. Ironically, this would likely be the most valuable and the least valuable cards in my collection. The '77 Topps Fidrych has a sentimental value that can't carry a price tag, as it's from one of the first packs I ever opened. I probably searched for a '14 CJ Cobb for 6 years before finally grabbing this one off eBay a couple yrs ago. It's my Holy Grail, and as many know, nearly impossible to land without caramel staining.

This is my favorite Clemente because of childhood memories....I still remember the day that adult bought it off of me at a garage sale for $20! I'm still working to get it up to at least an 8.
And one day down the road I would like to get a PSA 3 or 4 1933 Goudey Lou Gehrig.
My 2 favorites are my 51 Bowman Mantle PSA 3.5 and my 1981 Fleer "Craig" Nettles error card. The mantle because it is his true rookie card and the Nettles because of the stuff me and my father had to go through to find that card in 1981.
This is one that I have looked for for a few years. I finally got this a few weeks ago. I will never get rid of it. I only know of one other. These are super rare.
Iconic Player, most eye appealing set ever produced....recently being sold...everything has it's price, some are just more exorbinate than others I am looking for a PSA 1 with great eye appeal
My scanner is not up and running, or else I would post a pic. 1956 Topps Clementes are my all-time favorites. And my favorite of the bunch is a PSA 4 that I bought for $80 on a hunch off ebay. When I got it, I was floored, it was so beautiful. Looks like an 8 on the front. I don't see any creases. Look over the back, no creases or wrinkles from what I can tell. Then I see the issue, two "flecks" of tape residue on the back. Almost imperceptible except for a certain sheen when held perfectly under a lamp. Would have paid 300 raw for that card in the early 90' easy. Thanks PSA and Ebay!! It is a white back too, which I prefer.
Kiss me once, shame on you. Kiss me twice.....let's party.
Yankees001 hey man thanks for finally answering the question whether Grover Alexander had a card from his Cardinals days!!!!!!!! I have been looking one for my dad for years.
Currently completing the following registry sets: Cardinal HOF's, 1961 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, 1972 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, 1980 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, Bill Mazeroski Master & Basic Sets, Roberto Clemente Master & Basic Sets, Willie Stargell Master & Basic Sets and Terry Bradshaw Basic Set
IMO This is BOTH my most attractive and rarest card (unique).
First glance it looks like a common 1933 R309-1
But it is unique (green border and name plaque, back easel design, crispness and clarity of photo)
Some think it is from the unreleased set cataloged as R340 Sport Kings Premiums (should have been obtained from a wrapper offer, but never issued as intended).
But it also may be a R309-1 prototype or proof. Besides the differences already mentioned.... Its larger than a R309-1 by 1/2" both ways (extra green border)
This custom (about 7" x 10") which Doran made for me has to be my favorite:

Matt....you should have let me send that in for you under the reholder sub I did. We got those back recently, and they shipped back out. Now I don't have anymore!! (and hopefully won't for awhile)....

Thanks Bobby, but its a $2000 card, and I refuse to ship something like that through the mail. I will have it re-holdered at the Sun Times Show in November, or worst case at next year's National. I forgot it this year, or it would have been done.

Oh...I didn't realize it was worth that much. These things are almost like casino chips. I got a stack of Dick Butkus cards, around $4,000 worth, just sitting haphazardly on the floor. Like casino chips, I guess I don't think of them as real money (even though they very much are).......

I've got a PSA 6, A PSA 5, Two 4's...a coupel raw that would be 2s or 3s, an SGC 20, and some more raws that would be authentic or PSA 1s.

Today, this is my favorite card in my collection.
Yesterday, it was this one:
Tomorrow, it will be something different. (At least I've got it narrowed down to a specific sport; and for me, that's progress.)
