That card of Don Hutson made me think of this 1935 Corolla(University of Aalabama year book)....Don Hutson was on this team along with Paul Bear Bryant.

Loving the Ryan rookie and the 52 Musial. Both super cards. Tough for me to pick a favorite but this one is at the top of my list.

As of today this is my fav. Not to be confused with the 1992 Proline Portraits auto card, this is the 1991 SP. Pulled from production because the manufacturer believed the photo portrayed Emmitt as "too mean looking". Very hard card to find and I'm glad to have it.

My brother has several Ty cobb cards and I convinced him one day to trade me this card for my signed ty cobb letter. He said hell yeah. Love this card and will never trade or sell it ever. image

    Thunderdan,

I agree with you that Ty Cobb is such a great looking card in general. That is one card where the condition almost does not matter. Very nice centerpiece to your collection!!

  • Nice safety celebration shot from Giants first Super Bowl victory! I need to clean the holder though image

This was the first card I ever really wanted, started collecting in 1979 and opened every pack I could find trying to find this one. Never did get one from a pack but traded for one from my best friend, it helped that he was a huge Redskins fan.

I consider myself a vintage collector now, yet this 1993 SP All Pro Emmitt Smith insert remains my favorite.

    image

1993 Upper Deck SP definitely upped the ante of what Super Premium was and as amazing as the base card design was, the All Pro inserts were even more so.

I was also a hardcore Emmitt collector at the time, so when I pulled this beautiful card, it immediately became one of my favorites and, amazingly, still is!

I love the idea of everyone's "favorite" card, not always "the one I have that's worth the most".

    My favorite:
