i am continually held in amazement with how much these other forums pay attention to what happens here. in a funny sort of way, i had to go over there(and to NGC) earlier to find out what happened here------------the amazing part was glancing at the NGC forum threads and seeing how many pertained to what PCGS had done!!!! i may be simple minded in how i view the world, but that tells me alot. PCGS has the lead to the point where it isn't even close, and this comes from someone who submits to both services and has both NGC/PCGS capsules in collections.

if PCGS made a few other service changes i don't even think i'd need NGC anymore. that's really something, but please excuse me for my Koolaid consumption.image

I can't figure out why he was banned. It seems like he was asking some legitimate questions.

I'll really miss Marty since he was always posting cool encouraging things for us Moderns Collectors!

This one saddens me as I'll miss his informative posts and ..................................weird chicken humor!
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

Well, I have never been able to join up across the street, so I can't commiserate with him, but I will certainly miss him- the place will be so much less colorful without that rubber-chicken-toting, weeniecoin-lovin' nutjob around.

It is sad and depressing when people who you have grown to know almost like family... Just dissapear. Not unlike a co worker getting fired, or a death in the family. One can only try to repress feelings of anger toward those who pull the trigger and move on. Like the troops who stormed the beach on d day..... Some will end up lifeless floating in a sea of pink water.

Where do bad folks go when they die
They don't go to heaven where the angels fly
Go to a lake of fire and fry
See them again 'till the Fourth of July

I knew a lady who came from Duluth
Bitten by a dog with a rabid tooth
She went to her grave just a little too soon
flew away howling on the yellow moon

Where do bad folks go when they die
They don't go to heaven where the angels fly
Go to a lake of fire and fry
See them again 'till the Fourth of July

    People cry and people moan
Look for a dry place to call their home
Try to find some place to rest their bones
Of an angels and the devils try to make 'em their own

Where do bad folks go when they die
They don't go to heaven where the angels fly
Go to a lake of fire and fry
See them again 'till the Fourth of July

I never got to know Marty , but Walmann and YaHa are on my MSN messenger, so at least we can talk coins there. We're such coin geeks. There are more places than here to socialize and talk coins and other stuff. It's all good.

Unbelievable. The MadOne may be a bit different, but he not mean spirited. He loves coins, and he digs PCGS. I have reviewed what he posted in recent history and I simply do not see any bammable offenses. Some tough questions, but tough questions that PCGS will have to come to terms with in the near future.

Hey MadOne, we love ya. Looks like this will make for some good fun over some cold ones.

This makes no sense and certainly makes this place have less. I guess the decision is senseless some would say.

It's at the top of the front page. When you and I signed up, we agreed to the rules here listed in the TOS. Now, someone has decided that the Companys rules don't matter and has instituted their own rules.

They have the right to do so, but look at what it's getting them. Loss of good members that will never be back!!

On the Open Forum Refuge, it was revealed that he unknowingly linked to an image that had the word "elmo" embedded in it. That was an unfortunate violation of Rule #2. Apparently, the post was summarily deleted, along with his ability to log in.

Marty is part of the fabric of this community and will be missed. Given the circumstances, I would not be surprised if they gave him a second chance.

Same standards. The Mad One put one foot over

the line, truly by accident and was punished. However, due

to the efforts of the rubber chicken, extolling the Mad Ones

premier attributes and truly loving qualities, he and his chicken

were once again allowed into the Garden of Eden ,to sit by the

Celestial chair of HRH. Playing an important role, was the kindness

of Don Willis who reviewed the matter and approved the reinstatement

    of our beloved Mad One.
