I'm trying to let this thread die, while it is up here... and I posted something related in an Apr. 1st thread... I'll post about it here.
BNB is trying to hit a home run by finding "overlooked" valuable varieties to flip for profit.
Thus the 1909 "matte proof" cent purchase, too. But people here agreed it isn't a matte proof.
BNB:: If the rims are curved due to being a later die state, then you will be hard pressed to tell others it is "ok" to be missing any of the other die markers that are on the other matte proofs, plain and simple.
Quit trying to get rich quick. You lack knowledge and experience and are getting poor fast.
What a shame. All this and he's a crackout doctor too. >>
Well, lets say he sends it into PCGS to look at.... fully discloses to PCGS via urls to the photo threads that it had a fingerprint on it and it is now removed...
Is it possible it is not going to get "Harshly Cleaned" or "Whizzed," but get a grade instead??

I can't believe that you suggested he "fully disclose" the coins history when he resubmits it. Who among us here does that?
If he resubmits it and it comes back as an AU58 what real harm is there? PCGS isn't run by idiots and if there is a problem with the coin, they're gonna see it. If there's no problem with the coin then they'll grade it and that will be that.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
<< <i>I cant believe BBN took the time to make that stupid VD.Hmmmm do we have a secret admir,na just kidding. >>
It's called absolute boredom on a day off. I think I almost like the kid. He just needs to learn to can the attitude and quit living his life on the internet.
<< <i>Continually piling on and making fun of someone is bad enough, but this thread should be an embarrassment to a number of its participants.
Go ahead - flame away. If this deflects some shots from the current pinata, that would be fine by me. >>
I think you should mentor him or offer him an apprenticeship. MJ

Ms Morrisine - I missed the part about a 1909 matte proof and do not think BNB was involved at all with any
there was a lurker who emailed pics to Braddick to post in the registry forum to get opinion this guy posted a couple times and got crucified enough because their mannerisms are so close to the BNB guy, that they went across the street
and got crucified there as well - over there went by handle SD4000 or something
the coin they have had for awhile, and they may or may not know what they are doing, but in all liklihood are a different person as they have separate photobucket accounts and were both on and talking to each other in a thread over there
What a shame. All this and he's a crackout doctor too. >>

Who here does that?
absolutely no one. (thus the Big One)
however, as a potential situation, I decided to make it a "full disclosure to PCGS" situation... just to remove all questions about "miseading" PCGS anyone could make.
So...
PCGS knows the whole story behind the coin... they know what to look for and where just to make it even easier for them... they grade it instead of genuine holdering it...
BNB probably earned most of what he got but some here went a bit over the top. Most folks hear and ATS and on CT understand this young man for what he is. It's really time to let this all go to page 10.
