My "crystal ball" tells me, the upcoming week will not be pleasant for PM's. What does your fortune teller or c.b. predict? No charts please, just intuition.

    "...just intuition."

Seems we are in a bit of a quiet phase. Nothing to drive it, nothing to pull it down. It is always best to get your metal when everyone is looking the other way and that's where we seem to be. Dips at this point seem to be good for accumulators.

The gold market opens in less than 3 hours in Asia.

The way you phrased that reminds me of an old story.

A somewhat "matronly" lady goes to a portrait photographer to have her seated portrait taken. When he shows her the proofs, she complains that the pictures make her look too fat. She finally says "I'm not that fat, am I???" and the photographer answers "The answer, madam, is in the negative!"

    Actually Portugal.

Gold has formed a little downtrend channel since the beginning of March. The bottom of that channel is todays low--so far. My momo indicator has flattened and possibly turning lower. The breakdown in the Euro could be substantial enough to push the dollar to 83+. A test of the 200dma (and Feb low) could be possible, but first gold needs to break below the 4-week down channel which may or may not happen. All in all its been a boring 3 month trade for gold, and a rough time for those who paid premiums.

Gold will be moving every week. Not necessarily like we predict, either. One never knows what tomorrow holds, but it's the Big One in numismatic circles image.

    thanks, Cohodk.

my thought is, unless we have an unexpected event, that Gold will break lower in the near term.

The SK ship that sank near NK might have helped gold rise a little today.
