Here's a set with some weighing 1408 grains:

The second mark (to the right of the "c") appears to be the hallmark for the Franklin Mint which is a F and M monogram resembling a bird somewhat.
Example on ebay review.
1408 Grains Sterling .... .925 fine Silver.
The " C " is for Copyright.
The " F " is for the Franklin Mint.
The " 74 " is for the year of issue ... 1974.
The " P " indicates Proof.

That's it. The guy's math does not add up, but the very precise odd weights are interesting. I wonder if perhaps they were shooting for 100 t.o. net wt. for the set.
