Help me make a list! 1 oz Government-Issued silver bullion coins from around the world

I'm going to attempt to collect one each of the government-issued 1 troy ounce .999+ fine silver coins. What should the list include?

Here's what I've got so far:

American Eagle
Maple Leaf
Libertad
Philharmonic
Britannia
Kookaburra
Koala
Kangaroo
Panda
Onza
Angel

What am I missing?

    Angel--one of the first.

Cool idea! I have been trying to do the same times 2 for each of my kids. Patience pays off in most cases. Dont buy the 2010s until next year. Most can be found later much cheaper

Isle of Man. They're a British protectorate, or similar designation.

They were one of the first 1 ounce gold and 1 ounce platinum makers. Silver came out in mid- 1990s.

  • Added the Angel and the Onza to the list.

    Are there any others?

Isn't that more of a commemorative coin?

I don't think I'll include those, as I'd also have to include all 12 of the Australian Lunar series.

    << <i>Krugerrand >>

Privately issued round, not a legal tender 1 ozer.

For most people its probably obvious, but for newb like me, it may be worth adding the countries to the listings.

Good question. Are they like the Franklin Mint or an official government mint?

After moling around their site a bit, looks like they're tied to the government somewhat. I'm going to say government coin for the sake of this thread.

No. Less than 1 oz but they trade as bullion coins. The coin is 833 fine silver. They have a silver content of 0.752 oz.

I just ran into the Russian George the Victorious. It looks like Russia started this bullion production last year. Never seen one so far, but I like it.

Btw, what about the Russian Ballerina? Was that only produced in 1993? I love that!

Willkommen, Werner! I'm curious, why is there no VAT on gold bars (even bullion) but there is a 7% VAT on silver coins. I didn't see any silver bars; is VAT higher on silver other than coins? Danke.
