Just want to give a shout out to members such as Weiss, Mkman, Cladiator, Jester, the member formely known as Cars, and anyone else who I may have missed. You guys constantly display gorgeous photos of your PM collections and newps. Its a pleasure to be able to at least visually share in your aquisitions and rare bullion items! There are certain members here who do nothing but brag about what they have, or just bought, yet do not post a single solitary photos of any of it. You know who im talking about. Guys who claim to have hundreds of thousands worth of metals, and start new threads everytime they "buy" anything new. With decent digital cameras starting at about $80, there is no excuse for not posting pics of these so called "new purchases", or even sharing with us a few shots of the current collection. It makes me wonder if they are just blowhards who enjoy talking a good game. Thanks again to the members who actually show us their stuff!!!

Don't recall I ever have. I may make a comment like nice or I have a few but really I don't need stroked by others on my collecting habits. They tend to change anyway and nothing I've got is 5 or 6 figures like some people have. I mean really most of this stuff is just generic bullion some from the 70's and 80's but it's still out there. But again that's just me....never really worried about the crowd or what they thought.

I guess you are really jealous that I've accumulated so much stuff over the past 20 years, why don't you just come out and admit it???
By the way I recently deposited over $63,000 in my savings account along with a sealed yellow box of Silver Maples in my safety deposit box from two seperate sales of 169 ounces of palladium I suppose you want me to mail my savings account information to you to verify this too??? Better yet if you get the phone numbers from the two dealers I deal with you can ask one of them who i sold the palladium to if I have sold any palladium to him recently. RYK knows the dealer I'm talking about as he recently bought several $10 gold pieces from him.

Like I said before I haven't taken a picture in years, if I had kids I would be into recording them and taking pics but since I don't I really don't see the point in taking pictures of myself or my wife as she doen't really care about pictures either.
I suppose I could go take pictures of my farmland and machinery I'm sure all of you would really love looking at that, I've got a picture of my 2006 GTO on my cellphone on the screen, maybe I could have my wife take a picture of me snoring in bed I'm sure gecko would love that.

So you never targeted me huh??? I have shared numerous times bullion purchases and not taken a single picture but i have given serial numbers and descriptions yet you say this isn't directed towards me. Just like your poll about me being a thief never happened either right????

By the way he didn't ask for phone numbers from the dealers i work with so I gave the number of the primary dealer to him just now, how much you want to bet he never calls him up??? He will just keep attacking me and others which I feel should get him banned from here, he offers nothing to anyone here except his precious little panda collection which might impress some but does nothing for me.

I thought the original intent of this thread was genuine sincerity in thanking people for sharing pictures, thus adding to the knowledge base in general, but it seems that the real purpose of the thread was to criticize and/or attack one single member.
I'd be the first to agree that people have a right to privacy and nobody has to post any pictures or descriptions or anything at all! So that's why I said I appreciate it when people do choose to share with us here, especially those with more knowledge and experience than the rest of us. I wish everyone on the forum would be so selfless and generous to try to add to the knowledge base here, instead of wasting time with useless infighting and childish vendettas.

My 120 film box camera doesn't work good for taking coin pictures. And they come out blurry if the coins don't hold real still while I snap their picture.
I'll take all the blame for this thread.

Maybe someday I'll get one of the fancy slr cameras, then I'll show him a thing or two.

Home made outta a toilet paper roll and 5X magnifer lens duck taped on.
Still don't work very good.

Try adding some indirect light towards the end of the roll, I find that works well for me.
Edited to add...and go to a large loupe 3x instead, sometimes the 5x is a bit hard to focus on coins.
One time when I was younger, I made my own transistor wrist radio outta a tuna fish can, an old sock, and 3 marbles.
It didn't work very good either.

Yes indeed very wise words from a person with lots of class. I do enjoy the numerous photo's people post here, there are so many talented people here who take great pictures and impart knowledge on the rest of us including gecko.
I am done fighting with gecko so if he chooses to continue bashing me it will be a one way street, the only thing I will do is follow up to see if he's checked me out and post whatever I find out here.
I should have never let myself get dragged down to his level in the first place, rest assured that I will continue to report here if I purchase something neat and may eventually post some pictures here but to be perfectly honest I'm not quite sure how to do this. I know some people use photobucket but like I said I haven't taken a picture in years. I am a photographic idiot and openly admit it so I might need some help from someone here, just PM me what I need to do to transfer photo's here for others to see and eventually I will get some pics up.
