Mark's pics have a signature look to them that I really enjoy. In deference to our host, I prefer his pics to TruView pics which sometimes make the coin look cartoonish. Mark's are dead on. I only have 1 coin that has been imaged by Mark, an 1808 that bears a striking resemblance to yours DDM, but a different die marriage. In fact, I did a double take when I saw yours. Great coins by the way and that 1808 is awesome.
Although I have quite a few True View pics, I plan on getting ALL my CBHs imaged by Mark as I, too, believe his pics are MUCH more realistic to the way the coins look like in hand.
And, to answer your question RunnersDad, the 1808 is an O-101 or better known as the 1808/7 overdate. This one happens to be one of my favorites as the toning is really quite nice with beautiful blue and lavender seen in front of Liberty on the obverse. I actually upgraded her just recently with an AU55, now another one of my favorite CBHs in my set.
BTW, all of the CBHs posted above are in PCGS holders.
Thanks again everyone. I happen to love them all. Check out the neat obverse die cracks on the 1808/7 and what about the reverse strike on that 1810, pretty nice for this date, don't you think?
Keep in mind, I may pick these CBHs for my collection but without the talent of Mark Goodman, I couldn't display them here in all their glory.
He really captures the TRUE beauty of ANY coin he shoots and I highly recommend him
Here is another one of my favorite CBHs that he has imaged in the past.
Goodman has an artist's eye and it's fantastic that he applies his sensibilities, along with his professional skills, to make coin images come alive in realistic images for all of us to enjoy. Bravo!
