Was in town today to get paid for the Palladium I sold a few days ago and to pick up a sealed yellow box of Silver Maples when i noticed a small pile of six proof 1983 one oz. Silver Krugerrands which I also picked up for $1 over spot which was $17.50.
What do these normally sell for????

For what I saw, usually they sell in the range of $23-$25.
I want to buy it but so far have never found one close to spot!
Edited to add: just checked on eBay. In few cases even up to $35/40!
There is also a 5 oz Kruggerand round, pretty neat, around spot or maybe a bit higher.
Many members on this forum that now it cannot fit in my signature. Please ask for entire list.
When we have them, we throw them in our spot +$2.50 silver medallion junk box.
FACT.
These rounds were NOT made by the S.A. government, but rather by a private mint. I too once thought that they were official coins.
$1 an oz. over for a one oz. piece of Silver is a good deal irregardless.

Will have to dig them out & see if any developed.
Hmm, Might be a good time to unload 'em
<< <i>Several years ago I squirrel away 100 of these 1 oz rounds.. Put each in a 2x2 manilla envelope for toning..

Make sure you post any if they have rainbow or wild toning.
