My Swiss Shooting Medals Back from NGC

I know this will be considered a bad thing by a few of the "die hard" medal collectors, yet I did this for sake of preservation. With such low mintage for some of these, I prefer having them sealed for the long term rather than oxidizing.

I took a few "quick and dirty" images as they are on their way to the bank vault.

    WOW !

Congratulations a super nice collection. Do you have the shooting talers as well?
This is very impressive. IMO there is no U.S. comparison.

I do have the shooting talers, now missing 2 for the set - 1847, 1855.
  • An amazing group-love every one of them!

Not that I've ever seen a poor Swiss medal design, nearly all of these
    are just outstanding.

Love the toning on a several of them.

I understand why you would encapsulate them but weren't you tempted to
keep a couple of them on felt or wooden trays for a hundred years or so
to see what kind of toning they took on? image
No,no- the kids and the cat are all right honey.
It's just that I got my PCGS grades.

I'm awe struck. It's amazing what can be produced on a large planchet.

The 1894 Luzern which is stated as cleaned, has not been IMO. That is one of my favorites.

Very impressive. As for the "quick and dirty" images, you did quite a good job.
I think the Vaud - Lausanne medal is especially nice.
