Why did he says "heads??" It almost always comes up tails when it's flipped with heads up.

Vikes got screwed on that PI call...but Favre blew it when he didn't run that ball upfield...tough loss, I feel for him..

Kid couldn't have kicked it any better. Money right off the foot - congrats to the Saints. Brees vs. Manning should be a very good game - I'm looking forward to it.
Another very entertaining game, 'though not a pretty one.
For all the in-game talk about Peterson's fumbles, it was another careless throw by Favre that ultimately did in Minnesota. That's two straight NFC Championship appearances that Favre cost his team with a late interception. It's a tough way to end what was, statistically, his best season.
Sucks to lose a game in which you were clearly the better team. Saints had 4 three-and-outs interrupted by one 7 yd TD "drive" in the second half. But you just can't win with all those turnovers.
The Colts are breathing a huge sigh of relief...

I think you will be surprised when the saints arrive at the superbowl because im sure that most people are going to think the saints are the underdogs in the superbowl the saints can be very explosive when big games come along. go saints
<< <i>as a neutral observer for this game i have to say i've never been a fan of NFL OT rules... >>
I agree 100%. I didn't care who won the game, but the NFL overtime rule sucks. You have two teams that play their butts off, and it all comes down to who wins a coin flip? Who ever wins the coin toss generally only has to move the ball 30-35 yards or so, and kick a FG to win. The other team? They get no shot at evening it up. College OT handles this a lot better, IMO.

I don't see why they can't simply play a 10- or 15-minute overtime period. The team with the most points at the end wins. If there is a tie, just keep playing more periods until it's decided.

lol, my wife basically said the same thing while we watched the OT
Same pain as against the Falcons! The better team didn't win and the Vikes doomed themselves.. Sucks to outplay a team in every phase of the game but lose because of your own blunders. 12 men in the huddle and an interception in the last 30 seconds of the game plus a skillion fumbles.. and still almost win! What a disappointing loss! Paul
I actually missed that pass interference call in OT when it happened, but I saw the replays of it on ESPN. What a horrible call. The ball was not catchable, and any pass interference was minor if at all. The Vikes really outplayed the Saints up and down the field, but the turnovers and now that bad call in OT will haunt them all off-season.

Yes that was a bad call but the refs called many bad calls against the saints like ruffing the passer when brett still has the ball in his hand now whats up with that call?

The same reason why there's no home field advantage in the Super Bowl. Sudden death is the way it's always been done. Though I would make a few modifications:
* Team that wins the toss starts on the 50 yard line (assuming they choose to get the ball) * Three downs, not four. * NO PUNTING OR KICKING--first to score a TOUCHDOWN wins.

Picking heads is like starting a land war in Asia.
<< <i>where's the crowd noise? They got the ball and it's practically silent >>
Usually you want to keep it quiet for your offense. You go nuts when the other team has the ball.

I don't have a great feel for this one, but I'm gonna guess Colts favored by around 2 1/2 or 3
