My secondary market is my group of local banks. I fill them up with my reject coins until they literally "cry Uncle'. I hear folks are bringing them sealed rolls as well.

Even in two, three, or four generations, I doubt there will ever be a "secondary market" much over face value.
However, as mintages drop due to lack of public interest and a literal "GLUT" occurs in the Federal Reserve vaults, folks WILL be paying attention and those low mintage coins should garner premiums if you can find them.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
<< <i>I am a strong buyer of these at 95% face value. >>
Deal! How many rolls do you want? I have up to ~50 rolls. Each roll would be sold to you for 95% of face. Shipping and handling is extra and is $20/roll. Sorry, no combined shipping

I was going to comment that the Direct Ship program has many of these early coins but it looks like they've changed the program to only the Native American coins. None of the Presidential Dollars appears to be available by Direct Ship anymore!
"The intended purpose of the Circulating $1 Coin Direct Ship Program is to make $1 Coins readily available to the public, at no additional cost, so they can be easily introduced into circulation—particularly by using them for retail transactions, vending, and mass transit. Increased circulation of $1 Coins saves the Nation money. The immediate bank deposit of $1 Coins ordered through this Program does not result in their introduction into circulation and, therefore, does not comply with the intended purpose of the Program."
along with:
"By clicking “Add to Cart” I agree that I understand, and will comply with, the intended purpose of the Program."
This must be in conjunction with the recent article regarding buying these using their Frequent Flyer Credit Cards.

I do not even understand a primary market for these ugly examples of U.S. coinage. I thought the SBA was as ugly as things would get, wow, was I wrong. Cheers, RickO
The bank gets mine and the ones I take in with collections, mint rolls, sealed rolls, loose and the works, state quarters and nickel rolls the same thing
The secondary wholesale market for these coins is the bank @ face value. The secondary retail market is Ebay or whoever else you can get to pay more than face.
Those paying a premium from the mint to get rolls in mint packaging are "paying for the holder" (I've done that a few times myself)
An enthusiastic fan of Kennedy Halves for over 20 years. Always looking for great coins!! Email: wpflack@comcast.net
<< <i>Just checked the Mint Site and they still have all but 3 issues still available...
At only $35.95 a roll, or over 40% face...
I'll never understand the mint...
If they REALLY want people to collect and or use the $1 coins...
How about a program of face value plus shipping... >>
Let's see ... 12 presidential coins have been issued ...7 1/2 different rolls are still available .... that does not add up to 3 ... I'll pay you $140 for any Mint Wrapped P&D Harrison Roll Set that you have.

Ended up spending them 2 days ago. There's zero upside, and the coins are ugly, so why should I collect them?

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

If they are "handled" are they still uncirculated?
For back issues in the P/D bank wrapped rolls on Ebay they're asking 200% face...
So I guess there is a market for them but I'm rethinking the whole thing...
Currently Listed: Nothing

I only handle the original wrapper. Not the coins.
If you want me to handle the coins, I charge an extra $5 for the extra effort.
Now, you want some?

That's what I thought...
Offered three sellers time and a half on the 8 rolls I needed and was turned down by all three...

<< <i> Has any secondary market developed for Presidential Dollar rolls? >>
Yes ... but it's still growing ... and only for the US Mint wrapped rolls, some of which are fetching big bucks. ( $200 + )
As always ... it's eBay.
Actually it was good in a way because the 800.00 I got that day would have been spent long ago being sucked
in the checking account, you all have wives I'm sure....
From this point forward I'm buying 3 rolls of each, 2 for my trading partner and 1 for me.
Wish I knew earlier Denver Dave,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Sorry.
PM me and tell me what Prezzs you need maybe the bank still has them. They were all heads/tails.
