Multifocal Contact lenses for coin viewing.

Being nearsighted, and 51, I currently need contacts for distant vision
and reading glasses to see the detail on coins,
and a loupe for excellent optics.
Anyone have any experience with multifocal lenses?
Do they give you good coin viewing abilities?
What brand do you use?

doesn't anyone here use progressive contacts??
<< <i>I use progressive lens in eyeglasses... got tired of the contact hassle .... It will take a few days to acclimate, but well worth the effort. Distance, reading whatever.. no problems... Cheers, RickO >>
I've never needed glasses for distance viewing, used bifocals for a while for reading starting at age 45 or so. Now I use progressives to allow for computer comfort and the up close vision seems almost like I'm using a low power glass. It has never been so clear. --Jerry
