Help Identify This Silver Bar

I think this is a Johnson Matthey but thats all i know. Any information about this bar would be appreciated!

    NO! I don't think this is JM. The reason why is that there was a seller that claimed to have HUNDREDS of these on another site other than ebay. The seller didn't even know if it was JM, jus assumed perhps it was because of the words JM. JM usually or always puts the weight on their bar, this could very well have been the work of someone who wanted to make some bars and claim it was JM. Could have been a garage project or something. Trust me, when I was collecting JMs, I saw this bar and didn't even buy it as I was suspicious.

    Far too primitive to be a genuine JM bar. As Mike stated, probably a "homemade" bar intended to appear as a JM bar.

    No way possible that is a JM bar. There is a seller trying to pass them off as such on eBay. I told him they weren't and never received a reply. Still selling them as such.

    Johnson Matthey has been the company name since 1851 and original company over 200 years old


    yes it looks different than todays bars,



    but I do not know what they looked like 150 years ago

    I'd bet that bar isn't over 20 years old, Probably less than 2 y/o.

    Looks almost like a Gecko-bar!

    Just kidding. Gecko bars are vastly superior in quality and appearance.
