Silver Commemorative Krugerrands

I saw few auctions on eBay. They come in 1 oz and 1/2 oz.
Are they just art rounds or real Krugerrands? Does anyone know?

Thanks!

    But, what are they?

I'm not 100% certain. I imagine they are just generic rounds some company issued.

That's what I was thinking and I thought you were one of the few to know for sure. I am kind of disappointed! image
So, melt + a little mark up should be a fair price. I like them.

    Thanks again.

Sorry I couldn't help. Gecko may know more about them.

Forgot to mention I also like them very much, Esp the small 2 g pieces. I've had about 20 of them.

I'd be a buyer all day, every day if the SA government would start producing silver Krugerrands.

They are not real "coins", just a private company.

They are real and a do weight correctly..they are just not issued ny the South African goverment.

I would love to buy one as well if they ever did.

  • The silver " K-Rand " is a private issue.... not a S.A. Gov issue.

I have seen them in 2 gram, 10 gram, 1/4 oz, 1/2 oz, 1oz[ the most common], 2 oz, 5 oz and 10 oz.

I have some 1/2 and 1 oz pcs. I would post a pix butttt am at work now.

All of them are concidered bullion rounds ..... Buttt they are neat!!

I learned something new. I have owned the 2 gram piece, and always thought it was an official S.A. release. Thanks for the info guys.
