    Hmmm.

I wonder how many DDR's will surface with this release?
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

I believe it will contain either the $1 proof or uncirculated silver dollar. If I remember correctly they minted a combine total of 500,000 of the $1 and set 50,000 aside for this Bicentennial Set.

Are these proofs different than the other proofs already out? I thought I had already seen some proofs for sale.

there is another thread someone posted yesterday...

    Anyway....

    new on the schedule:
8/26/2009 . . . 2009 Lincoln Bicentennial One Cent Proof Set - WAG: the 4 coin cent set alone
    Fall . . . . . . . . . United States Mint Lincoln Coin and Chronicles Set - WAG: the Linc. S$1 & 4 Cent set

continuing the WAG'ing: I'd say they are the same proofs already out.

I'll bet they could sell more of these if they either reversed the order in the holder or put them in a different pattern. image

Anyone know what they are going to ask for this set? I would expect to see it listed at the $14.95 they have the proof Presidential and proof quarters at.

So we have the Proof Lincolns in:

    Regular Proof Set

    Silver Proof Set

    Lincoln Dollar Proof Set

By themselves in a proof set

No lack of proof Lincolns I guess image

That Lincoln Dollar/Cent set has the potential to go nowhere

Since when does 100 years add up to a bicentennial image

Maybe what you really mean is Centennial Lincoln

Might have something to do with Abraham Lincoln being born in 1809...

Might be a tad more prevalent than the 1909 cent - image a real collector rarity eh? Cheers, RickO

Maybe it has something to do with celebrating Lincoln's BICENTENNIAL birth. That's the reason for the new designs. The 100th anniversary of the Lincoln cent is just a bonus.
