Thoughts on the toning on '25S Cal and '26S oregon commems...

I've often wondered why these two commems toned in a similar fashion, with that spotty bright blue/gold/white rim tone. Any theories or factual info?

Can't help much without images, but most likely cause of similar toning would be album toning.

I think I know the toning you are talking about. I think it`s album toning. No common original holder. I always liked the blue on both coins!

I don't have any pics at the present, there was a post on the BST for a '26s Oregon which prompted my curiosity. Both are quite common with this similar toning.
