Nothing. Nada.

10 oz bars? Nope.
90%? Nope.
1 oz bars? Rounds? Nope.
Gold? Well, a little. A few fractional eagles, but he really didn't want to sell at "these prices".

He scrounged around until he found ~$6 face 90%, told me it was mine for 9x. But I just got done rounding out odd-lots of 90% to the nearest $10 and didn't want to get back into bits and pieces. XF-AU mercs and XF washington quarters, with a bonus G barber dime, tho.

Just thought his lack of product was interesting.

With Silver declining again are we going to see the return of big premiums if the slide continues, especially on Maples and Eagles??

One shop probably can't predict the national market, but he would have sold the eagles for higher premiums. Stands to reason that premiums might bounce back up again.

Demand is back up. This week we sold five 100 oz. bars and about $700 face in 90%.

I guess it's just as well I didn't leave my phone number.

Maybe his lack of product was also in line with him not wanting to sell at "these prices". You think he was holding back his merchandise waiting for a higher metals price or was he pretty much sold out of bullion?

I don't thinks so. I've known him for 30 years, and he told me he had gold he didn't want to sell. He would have told me he had silver if he'd had any.

still lots of gold and silver here at the local B&M store.

Gold eagles for like 50 over spot and they had many 25 count rolls of Engelhard rounds for 14.25/oz as of yesterday. They did say they have been selling quite a bit but still had plenty on hand

APMEX has a decent silver sale going on until Sunday ... 1 oz, 5 oz, 10 oz ... @ $.99 over spot. 100 oz JM bars @ $.69 over spot ... kilo bars @ $.79 over spot. Took advantage of it
