It's not the wrong way if you were expecting a pull back. Gold double touched $990 and silver hit some heavy resistance at $16.16 that started things tumbling. The $16 mark was the last strong resistance point last time around on the way to $21. It also was strong support after the fall from $21 and bounced off it a couple of times. This is our first time back to $16 since last summer.

Question: at what point do you say it is profit taking, and at what point do you call it a "rally failure" ??

We're just like the stock market bulls. A drop in the DOW, NASDAQ, S&P is always profit taking. You should always buy more if the price drops. But if the price rises, that is bullish and you should always buy or risk being left in the dust as it will rally ever onward and upward.

Did you mean to say: "correction" instead of "rally failure" ..... sounds so much nicer. image

sometimes you "gold guys" sound like "realtors."

realtors always say its time to buy. when prices go down... buy, it's a bargain. when prices go up... buy because they are going higher.

You guys should be into real estate too.

That was the point I was trying to make. It's ridiculous to say this about any asset class.
