APMEX doesnt want my money!

Tried to place a relatively small order of 50 of the 1oz silver bars this afternoon at 99 cents over. Wasnt given the "credit card option" at checkout. Called customer service and was told that this order would put me over $5,000 in CC orders for the 30 day period. WTF?!?!?!?! I kindly explained to the lady that my CC account is zeroed, and ALWAYS IS. I even asked if she wanted to call VISA to confirm this. She said that the company's new policy is no more than $5,000 in any 30 day period due to CC fraud. I have been buying regularly from them for 6 months always via my CC. I told her if I was one of these "bad guys" surely they would have caught on by now. No dice. Un-F*****G-Real!

P.S.- I know some of you will gasp at the idea I order via my CC. The truth is, I then pay off my CC bill in full 3 days after the transaction, never carrying any balance. The only disadvantage is a 3% tack-on to my order. But for a $1,000 order, 30 bucks is worth the convienence to me, so stuff it!image

I do smaller orders by credit card as well. It's just more convenient. Doesn't mean I carry a CC balance though. Never have.

Double gasp... I never use a credit card for bullion purchases from Apmex... 3%-4% fee on top of the s/h fee, shoots up the price considerably per oz.
