How long before the Coin Forum's UHR thread catches our main gold thread?

roadrunnerroadrunner Posts: 28,303 ✭✭✭✭✭
With 3300+ posts in very little time, and gaining 500-1000 per week, our main thread is losing ground by huge amounts. Unfortunately our main thread no longer gets the primary focus with so many competing threads popping up here weekly.

I think it's only a matter of time until the modern UHR gold ounce thread takes over with the most posts.

I think it's time for a separate High Relief Forum! image

I predict a petering out as more people get their coins. On the other hand, I ordered one in the first couple thousand orders at 12:22 and still have no coin.

I know there is one new member over there that has almost 400 posts himself!

My prediction, it doesn't make it over 7000 posts.

Remember how hot the 2008, '07 reverse ASE thread was? Hardly even posted to anymore.image

Thing is, I looked last week or so at it was only in the 2,000's. It is accelerating and will be for months as the coins dribble in.

Yeah RoadRunner, it has become intense over there with the UHR thread!!
It's multiplying and growing inversely to a Derivitaves contract!

Don't worry though as there will be a next shoe to drop with the MINT's handling of the UHR and a WHOLE new forum will evolve and eclipse this one by Quadrillions.
It is fun to watch though.
    Have you gotten yours yet??

I am ashamed to admit that I am responsible for about 3 or 4 posts to that thread. I just wanted to make sure I had the correct info to make a successful flip.image

I admit posting to it, but not ashamed to have done so. Convinced me to have mine graded and spend the additional $14 for the "infamous" First Strike Label. I doubt it will even make 4,500 .. The "peter out" syndrome has already started.

I still have the shipping box laying on the floor in my office since tuesday. Need to get going on that submission or it goes in the pile with the other Mint boxes I seem to be accumulating.

Sorry Miles, but I'm going to go to my grave having never purchased anything directly from the US Mint. I think the commoness of 1964 proof sets affected me early on never to buy from the mint. Those sets went nowhere for decades and then that "stuff" that came out in the 70's sealed it for me. I just never caught the bug and felt that most of the issues were scams like derivatives. While I probably could have made a buck by buying and flipping a Platinum coin here or an UHR there, I decided to just let the flippers have their fun. That's one more coin for them. Happy flipping guys....but leave the $20 Libs and classic Saints for me (lol)

last year almost about this time the 08/07 ASE was really picking up a lot, it turned into a "public chat room" for a few.

i think the UHR will peter out as well given time.

if either of those posts catch and surpass, i would like PCGS to "grade" each thread....at least GS (the econ thread) would get First Strikeimage

    regardless much more discussion here

Why did you have to bring the UHR to a UHR free zone, you have corrupted our forum image
