"Dusty" surface on a silver panda

Is there a way to clean-up the "dusty" (looks like dust but isn't) surface on the mirror fields of a silver Panda? image

Is that common. Is there a remedy, prevention?

Compressed air? Should be clean and dry.

the poster said looked like dust but isn't... so compressed air is out
because i am assuming it is "stuck" to the coin.

it seems a dippity doo is the right answer then proper storage in
    a 2x2.
  • Its sort of like a very light, very annoying haze. I used some rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip to get rid of it, and it works pretty well. Just be sure the Q-tip is completely wet before you go to work on the coin.

Edited to add: Be sure to thoroughly rinse with distilled water then use compressed air to blow dry the coin.

I would think acetone would also work.
