Why would there be a difference in price? They both have the same amount of silver, right?

Eh, there IS a certain amount of collectability built in to even the most mundane of bullion items. Its a complex system with no current printed priceguides. Usually it affects the smaller sizes the hardest, but its not immune to playing with the big boys once in awhile as well. In this case, I cannot see the difference between a JM struck 100 or a JM poured 100 as both are about equally available.
lol... some of you never have tried to buy a 100ozer huh... Do an ebay seach for completed items and look at all of the 100oz Engelhards selling for $1600 - $ 1670. When silver was $ 10.50, 100 ozers were selling for $ 1375.
The paypal coupon is an 8% coupon they send you via email (if you spend enough on ebay I guess) I just bought a 100ozer today and used my coupon... $ 1532 delivered. I'm VERY happy with that price...
<< <i>The bar sold for $16.29/oz delivered. With a current spot of $14.09, thats not a very good deal for whoever got it. >>
Hilarious coming from a guy who is selling his own homemade bars for way over spot. >>
A 100 oz JM silver bar is an investment, NOT a collectible. Therefore, paying more than $2.00 above spot is not a good deal in today's climate. Silver can be had, as INVESTMENT bars, at a much better price. What im selling are COLLECTIBLES. Its important to note the difference, obviously you dont understand that. People will line up around the block to buy AG graded 1916-D Mercs for $400 each even though its simply a $1.00 slug of silver metal. Much in the same fashion, people pay a premium for my custom made bars because they are a collectible, NOT an investment vehicle.

Well that can't be it b/c I spent over $10K on eBay in the last 30 days and I didn't receive a coupon.
I got an 8% ebay coupon but I spent it on a baseball card.
As for silver, I guess eagles are still my favorite form as I bought 100 silver eagles from APMEX yesterday. I don't like 100 oz. bars because their too bulky at selling time. However, I did great with the ones I sold last year. Bought at $750 several years ago, sold at $1625.
