<< <i>That one is pretty...but I don't see it being well struck. >>

<< <i>I realize this is not a Full Strike, as no 1929 P Buffaloes had Full Strikes, why would you not think this coin was particularly well struck?
Jim >>
it may be "well struck" but it is not " a full strike" now the 13 is very nice!

In hand its so crisp frosty and shiny it looks like a Franklin Mint tribute coin!
note the roughened rim design on the reverse

I'll send the section in my book on abraded die varieties that concerns the strike characteristics of the series to you. I've collected Buffs for nearly 50 years and have made it a point to study strike over the years.

CURRENT BST OFFERINGS
Here's a recent pick-up. This is a date that is rarely ever seen fully struck. Ron Pope reports only 3 out of 1,000 of this date/MM show a strike like this. Note the details across the Buffalo's shoulder and above the Indian's braid.
and a '36......
not the best struck, but just wanted to post them.
Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.

<< <i>Again, nice Buff, Bob. Such beautiful colorful toning around the rims with a golden hue across the center and outer edge of the Indian and Buffalo. >>
They both appear to be proofs. Try finding business strikes (other than 1913 T1's) with detail like this. A challenge to say the least.

Sorry, I have no business strikes to share, but you are correct on both points.

<< <i>Those last 3 or 4 should make Shamika happy. I love the 1919 and the second 1913 T-1. >>
Actually, the 38-D posted by JoeLewis impresses me the most. The 1919 has nice central detail, but LIBERTY is weak (note this is an uncommon 2-feather variety!) and the 13 T-1 is missing detail above the braid although the eye appeal is A+.
Notice however the crispness in the all of the lettering on the 38-D as well as the hair detail and the loop in the Buffalo's tail. Amazing even for a date that is commonly seen well struck.
