Hawaii State Quarter Error - Dropped "D" mintmark

Okay, that's how I see it at least. It looks like part of the "D" dropped above the mintmark. Is this terribly common and numismatically worthless, or is this a real error that is sought after?

All errors are collected and this one is very interesting and I'm sure it has added value. Perhaps others
can chime in. I don't see it as a dropped D but maybe a dropped O. The curve seems off for the D but
right on for an O like in GOD.

Yes, a strikethru of a dropped partial D.

I see the opportunity for a well-managed promotion. If we can have the excessively rare extra leaf quarter, we can have the excessively rare extra D Hawaii quarter, too. image

    Good morning......

It appears to be a partial dropped letter, or it
could be a minor struck thru.

It would have to be seen in-hand for a final
determination. IMO, it's not worth it to add
    the expense of certification fees/postage/etc.

It also appears that the die was well-used.
