I am owed $1,200 more dollars on other buys at ebay. And in the last three days I have been getting weird messages on my cashback account.
On 1/25 pending, process, failed.
On 1/25 Failed.
On 1/26 processed, failed
On 1/27 Failed
On 1/28 Failed and now in Pending
Ok here we go!! I had to call paypal back today because I got a email from MSnlive late last night telling me to trouble shoot.
I called and spoke to a supervisor name Zach. He is in marketing and promotions dept. This is what he told me. I do indeed have my payments/cashback pending in my paypal acct along with thousands of other people through this program. He told me since my amount is higher than some most people's monies will be verified so that Paypal doesn't have to lose money and time refunding money back to Msnlive.com.
He tells me he is due a large sum. If you remember at the time of my pending buys ebay ended the promotion and thus the large flow of cashback bonuses coming in to paypal.
Furthermore, a lot of people try to scam the cashback program in the way of buying and waiting and then the crook/seller both try to receive a refund for the item they bought and then take the cashback bonus and run.
I asked him a question about some people I have read stories about not receiving anything using the cashback process and he only tells me that they must of didn't follow guidelines or bought after the 1 hour limit to do the cashback search. If anyone I know he tells me to tell them to call paypal marketing and tell them your story and maybe they can help.
So again Millions of dollars trying to be sent into customers paypal accts. and they must be all verified before your money will finally be deposited. That is high cashbacks due. Wait another 24hrs and things should be fine. George

<< <i>no problems receiving my cash back. About a hundred bucks more left to go. Smooth process for me. Good luck with yours. >>

I have another 2 due tomorrow
My paypal/ebay acct used for my cashbacks are on file using the webtv.net. But I signed up 2 msnlive cashback accts. I did received like I said $1,300 a few months ago at the webtv.net paypal/ebay acct. But I remembered using the msn.com cashback acct for the last Gold coins I bought.
So here could be the problem I went on paypal and edited 3 more emails in my profile. This should work now. Do you know why? Because he told me that a amount of money was attempted to be deposited in my same email name but at msn.com and denied because there was no such acct.
So did you get this. Althought I signed on to my msn.com cashback acct and did the buying on ebay at the time and althought I have my ebay/paypal acct in the webtv.net for 10 years I think the msnlive is trying to send money in a paypal acct with the msn.com.
BOy I hope this works. Car insurance is due for my yearly statement in 3 days want to pay them with my profits from this msncashback thingy so I don't have to tap the savings if you know what I mean.
Hoard the keys.
They changed their software so you no longer have to claim the cashback and ever since I have experienced the problem. Maybe MS needs to get out of the software business as it seems everytime they change something, it doesn't work for months, if not years!
JMO of course.
Yea! I have to wait, but damn all of this hard work on my behalf calling this guy, that guy was for not.
I've had multiple rewards go through without a hitch manually requesting the money.
I now have 2 rewards that have gone into 'Failure' with the automatic payment, and a third coming up in a couple of days.
Does anyone know who to contact? Is it Paypal or MSN Live?
Can't find a contact for MSN Live on their website.
UPDATE
Just spoke to Paypal who said that your PAYPAL account has to have a minimum of $5 to have the reward money transferred.
I thought the $5 minimum was the minimum amount of the reward before it would be transferred.
I now have $20 in my account, lets see if that works.
<< <i>After I get my last payment, I'm tempted to email them and say "google rocks live sucks" >>
Dunno do that I have heard they can request a error payment refund and succk it out of your accts.
<< <i>Just spoke to Paypal who said that your PAYPAL account has to have a minimum of $5 to have the reward money transferred. >>
I don't think that is true as I keep my PayPal balance at $0 and I have had deposits made. 1 when I requested it (before the software change) and 2 after automatic deposit thing went into effect. All failures I have had are after the Auto deposit was implemented.

My account was at zero when I got my last one.
People that worked to game the system (hey! Let me use my other 3 accounts, my wife's account, my do's account, etc) are the ones whining about "free" money that they don't have yet.
Another reason I just went to buy things I would buy anyway and the FREE money was just a bonus.
Always looking to blame someone else rather than themselves for missing small print, or having tried to game the system to get out of the intent of an offer. Why can't folks just own up to their own actions and accept responsibility? Oh yeah, the system has shown them that the government will always bail them out.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
<< <i>So, it seems that people that didn't try to game the system (just had 1 account to use, etc) didn't seem to have problems.

WRONG - one account here. No games, one PayPal account that I have had for years. Use only the 12 transactions allowed through eBay.

Then you are one of the ones I hope gets this resolved.
Most that are posting have been playing the multiple accounts game.

that is not true at all. all my refunds from live.com have gone to an
account that had 0 in it.
Nice reply......you know this for a fact? Or just what you think?
And just what was the 'fine print' that we all missed?
Why can't folks just own up to their own actions and accept responsibility?
Doesn't MSN need to "own up to their own actions and accept responsibility?
Just one account here.
And why would it work for the rewards I requested, while the auto deposit doesn't if there was fine print that I missed?

In all cases, I received an message from ebay that my purchases qualified for the reward. I have also requested that if they can't deposit them to my PayPal account, just send me a check. I wonder if they have someone skimming the rewards.

When you are in your account detail, look to the left and you will see "Settings". chick it and go to the second tab. I believe that is where it is done at.
One account per Cashback, that was a rule. If someone had two accounts they were perfectly within the rules.
You have way too much time on your hands to play the self-righteous, pious commentator. I just don't understand why in the heck would you wish ill on anyone for NOT doing exactly what was allowed? If you can’t help, why waste the electrons by posting? Why spew negative energy?

You can be disgusted all you want. I don't care if they get their money or not, to be honest, but I do get sick and tired of the continued threads popping up on this from the ones who went to game the system. Other than that, I don't care
For the folks who completely stayed within the rules, I really do wish them luck in getting it all worked out.
Just like they can post and I can choose to ignore or not, I can post and they (you) can choose to ignore or not.
btw...if you can't tell, I am a rules player. Many are not, I am. Call it a fault, or be disgusted by it, it doesn't matter to me. Means that I don't always get what others do when they push the envelope but it also means I stay out of a lot of problems.

<< <i>just mail paper checks >>
They'll have to think up a different excuse:
"A personal issue has been identified that is causing the mailman to time out while not delivering your check. All of us at the India call center are still laughing at your frustration in the non payments and inconvenience and confusion that we intentionaly caused. We are not working with the mailman to get this issue resolved so don't bother us again.
I want to ensure that your request has been ignored to our satisfaction.
Providing customer service is not our priority."
$154.00 is due in two days.
I received two instant cash backs in November and these two above were for sixty days.
