  • Thanks for the Mays bid, I hope you win it! and I have 2 Banks I was going to send out but I picked up a very hard to find HOFer auto RC that kinda drained me which is why I got my Mays and Musial up as much I don't want to get rid of them. But Banks has another signing in July I'm hoping to send out for,

Dan, what's the Cooz charging? You can get him for $35 donation to Worcester Big Brothers/Big Sisters anytime you want so anything over $25 seems like a waste. Thanks!
  • Vito-
the price for Cousy isn't up yet but I'm gonna get one no matter what the price because a Huge part of my collection is getting to actually meet the HOFers who sign my cards which is definitely worth it to me,
    Thanks,
    Dan
  • Got 2 HUGE additions today,
1st- the Johan came on a good day after his stellar performance today, for $5 you can't go wrong with a future HOFer!

Congrats Dan on your Reese pickup. That card is on my super long list when I get into getting Brooklyn Dodgers cards.

    Brian
  • Thanks Guys! I was pretty surprised by the Santana's closing price as I expected it to go higher.
When I saw that Reese I was shocked to say the least, as I have never seen any other one like it.
  • got the Glavine in the other day and the Manny in today, waiting for one more card before they all go to BGS/JSA for authenticating

Nice pickups Dan, I like that blue on the Ozzie, most of the time for some reason to me, it seems like he signs in a black type marker that fades. The blue looks nice.

Are you sending any in to the Larry Bird signing? I sent my Bird/Magic rookie in that was already signed by Magic. Did you ever pickup that Catfish I showed you?

  • Hey Mike,
Thanks, I also like how the Blue came out on the Ozzie, now i just need to pick up a nicer conditioned card for him to sign. Whats the address for the Bird, both me and my brother have our r.c's also signed by Magic we wanna send in but I'm not to sure on the address and whether I should include a SASE or how much $ for shipping. I tried calling the guy from the Bird signing today with no answer. I'm actually working on paying for the Catfish and the Nellie.

    Dan,

Here's the link for the Bird,

    Bird signing

I didn't write down the address that I sent the card to, you have to leave them a message and they'll call back with the address and details, theres a general address on the site, but I don't remember if its the same one. I sent mine about a week and a half ago, they just now called today to get my CC number. To tell you the truth, I've been so busy I don't even remember whether I sent a SASE or not, the total cost was $129.00.

  • Thanks Mike!
  • Got this in the other day, not HOF but I enjoy watching him play and I met him 11 years ago when I was 16 at a AA All-Star game here in New Haven and didn't have any rookies for him to sign, so for $8 shipped I got one from someone that lives about 10 min from me and who also got him around that same time I got him

  • got this Beauty in this past weekend. I remember last year when the previous seller had it up for sale on the Net54 forum and being an A's fan especially of A's HOFers I really wanted it but couldn't afford it and it sold to another member and I thought I would never find another one!, well luck was on my side, when I saw it on eBay a week or so ago and saw the seller (someone I have had many transactions with as he is collecting a set that I happen to have had many of the cards he needed) I just so happen to have had 1 more card from that set in my collection and offered it to him for the Grove and we made the deal and 2 days later got this beauty in the mail.........

1927 W560 Lefty Grove ROOKIE Auto

    -Dan

PS- I will have a few more additions this weekend after coming back from Cooperstown

  • Got back from Cooperstown last night. This is the day I look forward to the most each year! Met 2 new HOFers I haven't met before, Rod Carew and Joe Morgan along with Kiner, Mays and Yogi, all of which I have met before. Everyone was very very friendly as always. Added a few upgrades for my collection along with a couple new ones...

    image
    image

Mays was very nice as Always and with the exception of his eye problems was looking ALOT better than he did when I last saw him in March
    image

This is a PSA 6 breakout that I got last month because the one I have, Mays signed it under Frank Robinson's pic, so I wanted to start a new one with Mays being the 1st to sign just in case it was signed wrong or something, but no worries he signed it in the perfect spot. Next up is Cepeda next month at the ECN
    image

this Yogi is o/c but at least there are no creases and no little kid to pull the cloth from the table and screw up his auto like the one I got last year and Yogi was in alot better mood than he was in last year,
    image

Kiner was also really nice and I was able to get a nice rookie Auto upgrade with no creases and another addition to my VERY slow moving signed 53' Bowman Color set
    image
    image

overall it was a great day and I was so tired I was sleeping by 9pm! Can't wait for next year!

Great stuff Dan, love the Mays'. I saw that he was at Mickey's place again. What was his fee? He's usually much cheaper their than anywhere else.

    Mike

  • Hey Mike,
he charged $200 for flats and up to $600 for jerseys. I was hoping he was around $150 like last year,
    Dan
  • got another HOFer (from a fellow SCN member), who hasn't publicly signed in a long time,
