I stopped off at Targhetto today and bought the last blaster they had and 4 loose packs. I pulled a pack of SPs from the blaster. 8 in one pack
I can't believe how lacking my motivation has been for completing this set. Besides a couple of great trades with Doran that really helped the chromes, plus a trade with Chris for a couple of Dodger blacks, I've just sort of lost my focus. Here's an updated list - any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm about 20 SPs away and a handful of base, and I've just been preoccupied with other stuff. Haven't even attempted to put my cards in a binder yet.
I am way late into this game, but have purchased 4-5 Blasters over the last 24 hours and am really hooked with the look of these cards. I am attempting to put a base set together for the time being, and wanted to ask for any help from those individuals sitting on a bunch of base cards. I have maybe 50 extra base cards and a couple SP's extras that I can trade. Let me know if your willing to sell or trade some base cards. I will send my VERY EXTENSIVE needs list if you can help. Can someone tell me why every time I go to Target ther is a 50 percent chance that I set off the alarms when leaving? This time I even told the cashier to make sure she rings up each pack separately because I did not want to have the alarms go off. You can guess what happened next. I just kept walking since noone seems to care and I did not even flinch as I exited because I knew there was a chance it would go off. Does this happen to anyone else on a frequent basis?

oK, Here is a SERIOUS ANSWER... Go through the alarm scanners on the way in to see if anything you may be carrying is tripping the alarm. A while back I bought a new wallet. It had a anti theft tag burried inside. I took it to the service deck and they de-activated it. End of problem..

Just got my 09 Chipper Black in a trade from Jim and will be getting the 09 Hamels soon, anyone put together the all the black refractors for a certain player? Im thinking about it. I love these cards.
I've been out of town for a couple of weeks and have missed out on what seems like the last wave of trading - here's my last shot at finishing the set via trade rather than eBay/Sportslots.

It would probably be impossible due to the number of people who are player colelctors and due to the number of unopened packs out there but nonetheless that would be a fun challenge!
by the way anyone wanting to see an amazing collection of black refractors over the years check out Jeff D's (mudflap) collection! Also a nice collection of autos and GU. Anyone else have a stash they want to show off? I would really love to see some collections!

Probably the most impressive black collection is from akroncardfan on ebay (mark). He's got them all....from 2004-2008 (all 709 cards). His big schtick is getting the #1 and #59/59, (or whatever for that year). He told me once how many he had, but i don't remember....he did have about 25 #1/59 from 2008. In fact I just traded him one.
I'm sitting on a batch of 70 form 2008 right now, will put them on ebay shortly unless anyone here needs some. I didn't accumulate these, they are a friends. A lot of stars are in there like a-rod, chipper, etc. No jeter or pujols, though.
