Sounds to me like it was a win even if they lost, nothing like great seats for the first win!My son is a bucs fan so we have plenty of pain in our house. We were going todayas well, then got a call friday about gator tickets,so off to gainesville we went. Congrats on what sounds like a great time&game.
Sorry, NFL fans. My Packers laid an egg yesterday. I'm happy for you, Goot...because that had to be a great game to be at for you.
For Packer fans, if this isn't rock bottom, I don't know what is. The Lions just marked the Thanksgiving Day game a Victory because the Packers are a joke of a team this year.
Congrats, goot. Glad to hear you had a blast. For all of the grief you get in this forum, you deserved a win. Insert something else very positive and reassuring to you. Way to go!

Maybe Tampa Bay should go after Vick. I would give a first and a third round draft pick for him. Well, honestly I would give a whole years worth. Go all Mike Ditka on the team.

No way. It'd be a HORRIBLE move!!!!!!! We're completely rebuilding from the ground up and should NOT give up those draft picks (especially) for Vick, when Freeman has a good shot at being a solid quarterback. There's a reason they went out and gutted the entire franchise, it's to completely rebuild with YOUNG talent. I'd be shocked if we went after Vick. If it was Favre or someone of that skill set, go for it (if we had a solid defense to actually back him up), but with someone who still hasn't proven he can play at a high level.....NO WAY!!!
We have 10 draft picks next year.....hope we use them wisely.
I knew we were going to lose that one late. I even told my roommate "I'm not claiming victory yet because our D SUCKS". Good for the phins. Can't feel too bad about this one since my Dad and two best friends are "Phins phans". They need the win more than we do, as they still have a shot at making a run towards the playoffs.
To be honest, I thought their running game would rip through our D and the game would be a lot worse but the D wasn't TERRIBLE and Freeman continues to show that he has a shot at being a very good qb one day.
I'm not even sure if I want us to win anymore, really. It's not like I'm going to root against them, but I'm torn between them winning and losing haha. If we could somehow win out we'd only be 8-8.....that gets you nowhere (unless you're in the NFC West). The one loss pool is just way too deep this year and to win even just one game jeopardizes multiple draft spots Just keep improving and get experience for the young guys, building on the last half of this year and have a great draft this offseason.
Nothing like a game vs the Yucs to get us back in the thick of things!

Props for a solid response Dave. You easily could have pulled a JS and hid for weeks or come up with excuses, so good on ya for that!
In all honesty sports and this thread are all fun and games for me. Winning and losing is obviously not the be all, end all for me, but it sure does feel good to win when my teams do. Although, I'm not sure if I even want us to win anymore given the draft situation! I want that DT Suh!
Anyways, here's to looking towards a better 2010 for both of our teams.
Congrats Goot! Though the win hurt your draft position.. And yes, I know that feeling all too well...

Saints lose again next week vs. a RED HOT Carolina team & Vikings beat Bears at home on MNF & then beat NYG, who laid down like a dog today --- and VIKINGS WIN #1 SEED IN NFC!
It's comical that this idiot is still so obsessed with the Bucs he has a running count about it? Meanwhile his Seahawks have played the worst football in years, their franchise QB has had games of back to back 4 INTs, and the team has yet to win a super bowl, but he feels he has a reason to talk trash about the Bucs? Dude, you're the most clueless individuals I've ever seen post, anywhere. Your inability to process rational thought is laughable. Your fatal attraction with the Bucs is indeed scary.
Wow is right, instead of focusing on the Bucs, perhaps you should focus on your team absolutely, positively COLLAPSING. 8 picks in 2 games! Turning into the worst team in the league!

Ok, got over shock long enough to make a real statement.
Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooow.
Well, maybe I will try again tomorrow.

Now give me those top draft picks! Go Bucs!
Trust me on this one.

No ****. I'm just saying that even if someway in hell we would in some odd way go 8-8, it'd be stupid to do so! Bring on the suck for '09 haha!
