Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the "Boys" hand the Bucks their first playoff defeat 33-0? >>
No problem!
The Bucs actually lost to the Rams in the NFC championship game in 79. That was their first playoff loss. I remember watching that game and rooting for the Bucs so I guess there is some truth to what Keith said about me being a closet Yucs fan
The Cowboys game you are referring to was a 38-0 score in 1980 or 1981 I believe. I remember watching that one as well. It was great!
Well, I'm sure one thing that we agree on is that the Cowboys that stomped the Bills two years straight was THE best football team ever period. If they hadn't had all those defections like Jr. and several others they could have had 6 or 7 SB's in a row. The had the best "O" line and the best defense and then the Big 3. Best team ever or since. Period!!
All I care about is if Caddy can run off a couple TDs and 100+ yards.
Don't look at me like that.. I needed to replace an injured RB on my fantasy team and drafted Caddy in the 9th or 10th round.

I thought you were just doing this to annoy JS? JS is gone now and you're still keeping up with this thread.....
You can continue to do it for all I care, I just don't see why you would now that your #1 target is gone. Everyone knows the Bucs are terrible this year. Just let this thread die, just like the Bucs season has.
I'm not taking it personal, I just think it's a waste of time. If there was someone questionable responding to this thread it'd be different, but for the most part it's me, LMM, Dave99B and a couple other regulars like the two of you.
Like I said, it's not a big deal.....just curious.
Do you remember how much carp I got from Mario. Thread after thread and kicking my team to the curb. And it wasn't just axtell, it was, except for maybe 1 or 2 posters, everyone.
Goot is a good kid and JS, or at least that personna, is gone. He (goot) doesn't deserve to have this rubbed in his face almost on a daily basis.

It is a waste of time. The Bucs suck, everyone knows it......awesome. But I'm not sure I recall you posting on this board other than talking crap to Stalin. It's funny for a bit, but gets old after a while. And considering the fact that Stalin's not here anymore to react and make stupid excuses, you talking crap to him and his "alias" is borderline sad. You might as well be making fun of your imaginary friends favorite football team right now!
And Stown, I get it rubbed in my face whenever I open up the local newspaper

yes, at least one, perhaps two alt-ID's...doesn't matter...he'd be hiding under his bed not posting about the Bucs anyway...dreaming of Jon Gruden and Warren Sapp.
Yeah they probably will lose...I'm aware. Doesn't mean I can't be loyal... something most "fans" in this country seem to lack. My friend is a Carolina fan and he's coming over from Orlando for the game. Should be a blast!
Nice defensive stand at the end of the game, way to man up and make a stop!

Just found out I'll be going to the game this Sunday. Apparently the team donated a set number of tickets to the elementary school my sister teaches at. Students and teachers were entered into a drawing and she was one of two teachers that won a pair of free tickets. Probably not the greatest seats but it should be a fun day with my sister at the stadium seeing the return of the creamsicle and the ceremony for Lee Roy Selmon.

Will do sir. Great time of year to be a sports fan right now..... I'll be at the Magic game on Friday (tomorrow), Bucs game on Sunday, watching my ranked Bulls on ESPN Thursday, and then I'll be at the Lightning game next Saturday night! Oh yeah, and going to class in between
Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
Amazing game! The seats that the Bucs gave to my sisters school were 2nd ROW, immmediately next to the Bucs tunnel! I was shocked by that to say the least. Plus, since I have never sat in the lower bowl for a Bucs game, it was especially sweet.
Game was great. Freeman played pretty well and looks like he can become a solid quarterback for a franchise who has rarely had one of those on it's roster. The Defense was great. Nothing like the old Bucs, but compared to what I've been seeing since week 13 of 2008, BIG improvement. We forced turnovers and would "bend, but not break" most of the game. Special teams were top notch as well with Smith having big returns, as well as the blocked punt returned for a TD by Barber.
The ceremony honoring Selmon was great. Selmon is a true legend and a fixture in the Tampa community to this very day. Glad to see the Ring of Honor started off with a win. Can't wait to see guys like Barber, Alstott, etc. have their names placed around the ring.
One negative is that many Packers fans I encountered need to learn some humility. Some played along with it, but many tried to belittle the Bucs and the fans, talking about how we were celebrating the win, and that it's still only 1 win. First off, aren't we supposed to celebrate WINs? Also, no poop it is just one win, but for a franchise with a young nucleus, getting the 0-fer monkey off your back is HUGE! Were we supposed to walk around saying "yeah, but we're still 1-7...."? No! You walk through the concourse with a bounce in your step, elated that your favorite team finally gave you a much needed victory! Lighten up people!
All in all great day out there. I took some pics so I'll probably post some up later if they came out alright.
