BBCE birthday present for me

Got a little birthday bonus from my business partner and am going to blow some of it (about $800) with BBCE and thought I would share and include the results when it all gets here. If Steve follows his normal shipping time that I have grown accustomed to, it should be here Thursday. Below is the list of the "junk" I am getting. I know some peole on here think it's foolish to throw good money at some of this stuff but it's my b-day dang it. Wanted a bunch of stuff to bust that reminds me of when I was a young teen that I enjoy busting. All are baseball unless noted.

The elusive Nicklaus PSA 10. I also just love this set and have a little fun upgrading the 2 raw sets I have.

I didn't think Bama folks could actually add.
Thanks for the KY Matt.
My birthday is Thursday - so obviously I should get some portion of those cards when they arrive.

In case I forget, Happy Birthday to you too. If I am not mistaken, Rube's b-day is Saturday.
<< <i>What are you looking to pull out of the 88 Donruss? I have a ton of it. Is there something worth while in that set. >>
I would tell you but it's a secret. Plus, 2 or 3 certain people will jump in with the ridicule. How can you beat busting the equivilant of 216 wax packs for $25?
doing it for $20 lol.
p.s.
if you ever wanna bust some cheap 1991 Score wax, gimme a holler! i got 20 b0xes worth.

Mike Lavaillere...duh!
good luck ripping, and have fun.
<< <i>I hope ALL your boxes were searched. Then realize hockey has potential, like many members emailed me,but are afraid of speaking up due to your backlash. Here is to a case full of searched and ungradeable want list, YOU deserve it! >>
So you are accusing/saying BBCE is selling searched boxes. IMO you had better have some solid proof of this before making that statement. Hockey has about 2% potential and would probably never sell out unless you buy/bought the majority of the packs.

Haha wow I hope that's a joke.
I do not believe that I have ever once posted anything that would lead anyone here to think that I care what you or anyone else thinks of me. This is a discussion forum where everyone is entitled to his/her opinion. If you do not agree with my opinion on a particular issue, you are free to voice your rebuttal. Yes, I have disagreed with a handful of forum users but usually agree to disagree.
As far as hockey is concerned, hockey is the least popular of all the major team sports and the lack of popularity is reflected in the sales of the trading cards. IMO, hockey would not even be considered a major team sport if it were not for Gretzky. Gretzky had the same effect on the sport as Magic, Bird and Jordan had on the NBA. I hope that Sidney Crosby has the same effect on hockey as Gretzky did. I actually enjoy watching hockey games in person, but other than our minor league team here, I rarely get the opportunity.
As far as the stuff I am ordering from BBCE, it is for me to enjoy and I will enjoy ripping all of it regardless of the outcome. Yes, I would love to get a handful of cards that are 10 worthy but will enjoy ripping it if I do not.
Have a nice day and feel free to speak your mind publicly. No need to whine to others through PM.

IMO I don't think it was a joke.
I think there are a lot of decent buys in all sports right now. I dont have much Hockey, but I bought a John Vanbiesbrouck RC, a Pekka Rinne Rookie, a Shea Weber Auto, and a David Legwand Auto and got all fou for less than 8 bux.
I will admit that aside from watching the Preds on TV or in person, I have a hard time getting excited about watching Hockey.
Hey Skilow, I'm down for a hockey rip...don't be surpirsed if lsutigers doesn't buy a pack or two

Feel free to check the group breaks that I organized. I tried to do Topps hockey once and never sold them out because everyone said they wanted OPC. Next break I tried 80/81 OPC. All those, including skilow, that said they would be in on some OPC hockey never spoke up in the 4 day signup period. So, we cancelled them again. Like I said, hockey never sells out.
and Happy Birthday.
Good luck with the rip!

<< <i>There is a button you can click that reads "new topic" click it and start a group Hockey rip. There is nothing stopping anyone from organizing a Hockey rip, email Steve, he'll cut you a deal. Good Luck to all. >>
Best post yet. There's nothing stopping anyone from doing their own. You can't complain about something you won't do yourself.
<< <i>The users stated they didnt want to participate or voice their opinion due to your constant negativity >>
If this statement is true, then those individuals need to grow a pair or go to the Martha Stewart webpage so they can be babied!
<< <i>We can agree to disagree, but if you want to run the group rip, take it back over from jweitson(sp). Why are you still pulling all the strings? The OPC was a guaranteed sellout in the thread yet your influence caused it to be Cancelled. >>
This is getting old skilow... why do you continue to trash LSU - we all know he dislikes hockey who cares - he tried to sell Hockey in one of his breaks and it could not sell out. If it's so important to you, like others have suggested, organize your own group hockey break. I‘d be in for a pack or two. But if you are not willing to run a break than please stop beating a dead horse.
Also Happy Birthday LSU - have fun with the rip!
As far as the group rips are concerned, the main reason I quit doing them is because of people that signed up and never paid. With the exception of some that ping4u43 picked up for me, I always got stuck with the extra packs. Let me say this one more time, we have tried OPC and Topps hockey from different years and never sold out. Not saying that it never will, just saying it never has.
If I were you I would just stop responding to him.
