How much over spot would still be considered fair to pay? Just generic .999 rounds.

They range from $13.25 to as high as $14.50 at local shops around here.

Some people just seem to prefer Engelhard or JM for some reason. I agree with you though, an ounce is an ounce; and silver is silver. I could understand if it was Sterling vs. .999 fine, but it's all the same purity we're talking about here.
