Because Johnson Matthey is an unknown company, right? Besides, my bar says 1 gram right on it, where does the dime list its silver content? I'd bet my next paycheck that if you gathered every single CU member and on the spot asked how much silver is in a U.S. dime, in grams, over 30% would fail (more likely over 50%).
This is one of those 1 Gram bars propped up against the side of a 1 Kilogram Australian Koala.
You can just make out the "1 K" of the text on the larger coin.
It boggles the mind that a one gram silver bar would be created. But there it is.
Darn lack of white balance. Poor exposure too. It's what happens when I take pictures too quickly without taking care.
What a fiddly mess 1,000 of these gram bars would be!
I have to laugh at a pile of 141 of these tiny bars. It makes me think that they are props for a new 'Team America: World Police' movie.
