I might take advantage again. We will see. I seem to like bars better
but boy are they tough to find in quantity and a good price.
When I posted this at around 3:30 they were 12.71 for 0-9 and 12.54 for 50+

Probably a fixed percentage over spot plus some fudge factor. And the fudge factor seems higher when the spot price of silver is lower.
I'm ready to buy several hundred of these things at these prices -- if the price reflects a typical spread, and maybe even a little more to account for fixed costs. But at $12.50-$13 with spot under $10? Nope.

i dont think so. when silver was right around this price during a dip
i bought 100 Oz at 12.66 an ounce. So did another forum member.
Now with silver at the same amount +-10 cents.. they are more expensive.
since i just wired the money today.. they will probably ship next week.

They only show 20,000 left... If you have not bought from them before.. Register by clicking the Red banner..
Then call them in the Morning and tell them you haven't recieved the email coupon... They let me short pay the first order
25 dollars....
<< <i>what are the shipping anf insurance costs? >>
$18.50 for 50 oz.
They don't take full payment by CC because of the fees involved with those transactions....
Other bullion sites do.. But their prices are higher to reflect the fees involved...

<< <i>Are these guys reliable/ship fast? >>
They sent an email the day after my M.O was received saying the product was shipping out that day..
3 days later the box arrived.... I like the fact they answer their phones with a LIVE person.
No hoops to jump through to get a human....
Maybe it is also related to their inventory in stock?
I was also caught off guard with thier 15% deposit and rest in cash becasue I didnt' read their terms before buying, but I didn't have much time because I had to add it to the cart, register, and purchase within the 10 min window that they give you to lock in the price.
I also missed that $25 Voucher button because I was in a hurry.
But their sell price seems to be closer to some other PM dealer's buy prices.
I'm also in CA, so I should hopefully be getting these soon, seems like a decent deal for the current market and reputable source.
Edited to add: Shipping was pretty expensive - $60... and I'm only about 50 miles from them.
You greedy bastages need to quit buying so much silver if you want cheap shipping...
All TeletradeDirect® orders are shipped within 72 hours of cleared payment using USPS and include full insurance. All shipments will need to be signed for on delivery.
Shipping / Insurance Charges:
Orders up to $2,000 will be charged $6 plus 25c per coin.
Orders from $2,001-$5,000 will be charged $10 plus 25c per coin.
Orders over $5,000, $20 plus 25c per coin.
Gold, Silver and Platinum bars will incur an additional $10 per item to the above shipping and handling costs.
Seems a little backwards to me... shouldn't the shipping price go down with additional coins?

Shipping goes up because of the weight and the cost to insure.... The price of the coins go down because of volume..
I talked to a rep at TTDirect and he said they would ship toward the end of the month, he claimed there was a 7 day wait to get them from the Brinks warehouse where they store them.
Thanks to Manorcourtman for posting the info on this.
Edited to add, Northwest Territorial Mint has these posted at $13.96 (that is if you could ever get them to answer the phone or respond to an e-mail, then hope they have them in stock!)

I placed an order last Thursday (10/16/2008) and mailed them a check on Friday. They marked it received as of Tuesday (10/21/2008) but their company policy is to hold personal checks for 10 business days so be aware of that if you plan on doing business with them and mailing them a check. I suggested that they include that information in the deposit receipt email and if they had enough to fill my order they wouldn't have a problem mailing it to me earlier.
I have had to call them a few times to clear some things up with my order and I have to admit that they seem like a good company to do business with. They are friendly and are a smaller operation so you can talk to the same person. But I am going to have to wait a little longer for them to process my order because they don't have enough in stock.

Almost every place I have done business with, including the BST has a 7 to 10 day hold on check orders...
This is common in every line of internet or auction sales... I can see both sides
I have ordered 4 times in the last 2 months. The first 2 were with money orders. Mailed the next day. Well worth the few bucks
for a money order... The other two times were with a check.. The orders were placed a week apart. The first was held for 10 days
and arrived 12 days from payment recieved. The second order came 2 days later. So maybe they don't hold for 10 days after business
has been done before...
As for them not having silver in-stock.. By your order date given. That was when they were showing a late October delivery. That was
stated during your order week... Better than the 17 to 18 bucks Apmex was asking....
The only reason I was a little disappointed that they weren't in stock is because there are other people who placed their orders after me and have received them already.
I liked the price I paid and I am happy with their service I just want my silver already
Thanks
'Thank you for your Teletrade Direct purchase. Your order shipped
this afternoon via USPS Priority mail.'
So I hope there on the way but they did not give me a tracking number.
<< <i>Is there anywhere on the TeleTrade website that you can see status of your Direct orders? Am I just missing this???
