Detecting for Roofing Nails

We just got our roof replaced from a hailstorm last spring. When the roofer was finished I asked him if he had run a magnet over the yard. He told me that they were pretty careful and didn't lose that many. I knew better than that. I should have told him I would knock a certain amout off the bill for each one that I found. I'm about 2/3 around the house and I've found 105 so far. I think that I will give him a call. And I did find 4 Zincolns.

Yeah, ok. Did his snout grow a foot longer when these words proceeded out of his mouth? He's just WAAAAAAY too lazy to pick 'em up.

I'm in the process of reshingling my house and I put tarps on the ground to catch all the old shingles and mostly for the small stuff like nails and little pieces of shingles. When I get done and al cleaned up I'll get the detector out to see if any were missed.
It does suck that they wouldn't drag a magnet around the yard.

<< <i>You should have just told him that since he was so sure that they hadn't dropped any, he should take a jog around the yard barefoot to demonstrate his faith. >>
Now that's funny!
