Poll: Do you even notice the banner ads that are at the top of the PCGS message boards?
I am not sure how much these banner ads at the top of the message boards cost, but I am curious how effective they are. Obviously, I don't want to kick a gift horse in the mouth, because I am sure these ads provide some revenue to PCGS to defray the costs of running these boards.
However, I am curious if anyone actually notices them, or do you just focus on scanning the the thread topics? Personally, until just now, I could not tell you who is a regular banner ad advertiser and who isn't.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

<< <i>Insofar as they're the only thing on the forum that actually makes money for PCGS (i.e., subsidizes the board), yes. >>
I might disagree with that slightly. I have been collecting coins in ernest for about 4 years. The first 3 years I made 1 submission order with PCGS. The past year (which is how long I have been a forum member here) I have made 4 submissions with them. Connection there possibly?

Do you guys read billboards on the highway?
Do you view TV commercials? Or do you, like my mother in law, turn the volume off every time a commercial comes on.
I usually look there first just to see who is up.

We record TV shows and fast forward.
My two year old complains a lot if he has to watch a commercial. He has learned early. My eight year old actually likes to watch them.

Same here. I have probably submitted about 1,500 coins or so over the past 4 years.
Have I ever clicked on one? Not that I can remember.

Thank you, Ad-block.

Isn't that what the "+ channel" button is for?
