A warning on Panda America - not good at all

A warning to my friends:

After purchasing 3 proof 1996 Pandas from these guys they delivered a single 1997 bu coin. I called them up but no one would speak to me. I returned the coin to the but they are refusuing to issue a refund. They don't amswer emails or return call.s

I thought these guys were a real company but I am filing fraud charges in the AM, I would avoid Panda America at all costs.

I seldom check PM's but do check emails often jason@seated.org

    they were at long beach but I never looked at their table.

    I came very close to ordering from them but bailed out, as my order was well short of $1k but large enough to have a serious tax bite. They are in California. I got an uneasy feeling from their crudely done website.

    Nobody would speak to you?!? How does that go. Silence when you pick up the phone?

    Sounds scary.

    Agreed. And, once it goes there, just give gecko a call. He loves to rant about them...after all, they are a dealer image

    I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

    What the hell is that statement supposed to mean?

    Regarding Panda America, the company was set up at the Long Beach show this last week. Give them a call on Monday morning and I'm certain there will be somebody then to cordially talk to you.

    I've had only one transaction with them but it was very easy and no problems.

    The biggest problem with Panda America is that they are sellers at retail+++. However, they are buyers at around melt. In otherwords, if THEY have it in stock, its a "rare" "keydate". If you have the same piece, its worth its gold content and little to nothing more. They make me sick. Having said all that, I truly believe in my heart that this is simply a goof on their part and I fully expect them to make it right.

    I didn't make it to LB this month but they usually have a large table there and probably most of the staff. Maybe someone who speaks english (yes, I remember them talking to each other in a foreigh tongue) will be back in the office on Monday.

    I bought some generic saints from them last year for a customer. I bought from them because they had a huge pile and let me pick the ones I wanted. But in 15 mintues I got 3 different prices so I felt I had to watch them closely. No problem when I'm walking away with certified saints that I bought sight seen. But I would be careful with them online.

    I purchased a number coins from Panda America back in 2006 when they sold PCGS Gold Pandas.

    The strange thing about all of the transactions was that I never received an accurate invoice from them. Every coin was listed at a different price than I paid.

    Shipping was consistently slow.

    At the time GovMint appeared to have much the same panda inventory as Panda America, but at a higher price.
