Has anybody jumped off a roof yet?

Platinum nearly cut in half. Not much better for gold/silver. I heared a dealer make some reference to the jumping off a roof thing. Some people are taking major hits. Glad I'm out.

Likewise ... right now it's like jumping on board a sinking ship ... Need to wait for the market to turn. You may not catch the bottom, but will sleep better at night...

Not jumping, holding, and riding the wave. What goes up must come down, then hopefully back up again image

    More buying opportunities, IMHO.

OT: Anyone buying Mint gold, at $1200 an oz. + or -?

Low sales, low mintage? Future appreciation?

Its going to happen becuase I know a lot of people sitting high with pratically all ther life savings invested in above 950 gold and 19.oo silver. It will eventually sink in when the market doesnt come back, which it wont IMO anytime in the near future!!

When it turns you better be ready, because we've all seen how fast it can jump.

If you're thinking bottom, I thought it's good to buy steadily into the bottom, and then you are there when it starts making the turn back up?

I generally only add a few ounces at a time, but personally, I would have no problem buying at this level even if it's not quite the bottom yet.

Gradually accumulate and buy at all levels and you'll be fine.

What? Did I miss a press release where the fed said they were going to stop printing money and bailing out banks and investment firms?

Why would you jump off a roof? You could hurt yourself!! Do you really expect to win every single confrontation in your life? It's much more important to know what you're doing and to know why you're doing it, than to get all strung out trying to be impeccably perfect. Ain't gonna happen - I don't care who you are.

Why all you PM bulls are sitting with tons of gold and silver at 900+ and 19.00 + waiting for it to come back up just to get back to break even and hopefully make a profit down the road some day. I have turned and made great profits on buying/selling on the way up as well as the way down! You will never convince me its best to keep buying and hoarding!! You didnt in 1980 and you didnt again this time!
So you can cost average it down some, but wouldnt it still have been better to be able to buy from start again at new reduced levels after profit taking on the earlier amount (even with taxes associated on profits/gains ) and yes its out there you just have to search a little for those selling.

I have to agree with the wise words above .........I've been hoarding.....but.....as I would average down in my buying during times like this...you just have to let a percentage go (sell) when you are in the ride up......you can't call the bottom....you can't call the top...so pick a percentage you are comfortable with...sell it when the crowd shouts BUY BUY BUY....and put the cash aside to buy back in at these times we are having here (when the crowd shouts SELL SELL SELL).

    Keep your core hoard.....add to it......sell a little....add to it...sell a little......ride the rollercoaster

And yes...there is still some silver out there if you hunt for it. I know where some large bars are right now....I have first shot at it...but still scrambling to find additional funds to swing it....
