How much is gold selling for? Not what is spot but what are people paying?
I thought spot plus 3% for paypal shipped was a pretty good price, but no action.

interestingly enough i watch true auctions go past the prices of a
buy it now.. for the same amount of metal often in the same form!
go figure.
what was the form you were selling? bars, rounds, or ??
<< <i>for some odd reason, if you are talking about buy it nows, or a reserve... people do not want it unless a screaming deal.

Where was it listed? eBay / BST / elsewhere?
I would want to see some pics. $3350 is a good price if you take regular PayPal (not eCheck) and ship insured.

Next time don't bundle it .... sell the bullion coins individually ...
Not to much action going on eBay for BIN's over 1K ....
Start your auctions at .99c ... it will fetch you a decent sum, most likely more than the $3350 .....
i listed two one ounce silver bars for 40 bucks with free shipping
as a buy it now. sold in 30 minutes.
i also listed two silver 10 ounce engelhard bars at 185 with free
shipping but they did not sell. yet! people were bidding up 10 ounce
bars, the exact same ones, for 175-180 at the time plus shipping
which was more then what i was asking.
of course silver has lost a few bucks since then.. so keep that in mind
when considering my prices.
opa's advice is solid. people seem to like smaller purchases and
like to chase auctions. also smaller items can have a larger buy it now
and people will bite as an impulse purchase.
