From the Heritage ANA sale. It's not exactly beautiful, but it is super rare. I found no records for any other examples, but I have to assume there are others out there. Otherwise, I would not have been allowed to buy it for only $3600, all in. Anyway, I think I'll keep it for a while.

You guys, especifically @MrEureka and @Boosibri are really making it hard for me today.......
Regading that Chile 1867 Peso 'Pechugon'. It is Probably the best example I have ever seen of that scarce coin. (My own example is a corroded VF). Absolutely stunning coin.
The 1877 2E is indeed very rare, as most Chilean Colonial gold minors. 8 escudos from Santiago are relatively plentiful for most dates, not so the minors. Some dates are extremely rare or unique. I have not been able to trace another example of that coin either. Congratulations MrEureka.
This modest 1E 1806 for example, is only the second of this date I have ever seen (and that is in a lot of years!).
Still working through attributions with PCGS, but I thought I would post these today.
1869 was the transition year from Reales/Escudos to Centavos/Pesos. I don't know why they would make trial strikes of the old coinage except maybe to have them side-by-side for officials to compare with the new coinage.
I shared this in another thread. I'll share it here too since I rarely get Mexican coins. The trueview over saturates the color a little bit. It looks more natural in hand.

Here's an ugly beast that I honestly can't remember if I've posted before.
Its a hub trial from the Soho Mint for Chihuahua. Although it doesn't have a mintmark (yet), you can tell from the die style that its a Chihuahua coin rather than a Guanajuato coin. Soho made dies for both mints.
Every time I send in a batch of coins to PCGS, I send a few large medals. Large medals are tough to store properly, and I want them to be protected in a slab. (Though I do kind of hate those large slabs aesthetically, they just make things easier all around. And when time comes to sell, they are ready to go.)
So the coins haven't posted yet, but the medals have.
Mexico 1814 Ferdinand VII Copper Proc. Grove F-30a. (Purchased out of Dublin of all places.)
As well as the always-popular 1952 Mexican Numismatic Society Foundation Medal. Grove 611a.
These are long-time holdings that I just graded. They are not from the Clyde Hubbard Collection.

Do you recall where in Dublin it came from? Curious after living there for a few years.

Attractive example. I'd be a buyer if you decide to part with it.

Interesting bunch @cecropiamoth
I was not aware of this variety @RaraAvis
@Abuelo. This variety is not very common.

Amazing Peso.

Super coin!
In 1965 Peru minted a set of six coins commemorating the 400th Anniversary of the Lima Mint (Casa de Moneda).
The coins were all dated 1965 and were brass 5, 10, 25, 50 centavos, brass 1 sol, and silver 20 soles, all with similar designs.

As you know these are generally rare, rarer in high grade, and unimaginable with nice patina as usually were cleaned, so I could not let go.

Hey Weiss, mine don’t stack. 🤔

Agreed--and the OP no less. And for those of us who refuse to use IG on principle, where's the photo?
Man, this one will be a pain to photograph, but I'll give it a go.
