<< <i>I think it's great that you like these and want to collect them, I just don't understand why you keep posting them in the US Coin Forum. >>
I want to show them off and let people see how beautiful these really are. If I posted them in the world coin forum, nobody would ever see them.
While your waiting for Gecko109 to upload more pics from his fetish file... Enjoy Josh Groban singing Panda Love
<< <i>No issues... I'll stay away as I don't speak Pandanese!

I respectfully concur.

Oddly enough, so does Gecko:
"Good forum etiquette" does not involve posting off topic threads, ESPECIALLY when the OT has really little significance. Would you enjoy daily threads on a COIN forum about a 3% gain in the DOW, or a 3% hike in the price of oil? Where, other than THIS reply is the word COIN mentioned? I think this is supposed to be the U.S. Coin Forum, not the Commodity Report Forum, is that correct?

Politics and the economy do not belong in this forum. We are talking about coins here though. So lighten up Francis.

Off topic topics you like- good. Off topic topics you don't like- bad.
Got it.
Not to worry, though- it doesn't really matter to me what topics (on or off) people choose to post about. Carry on!

Wrong again spudhead.
Offtopics with NOTHING to do about COINS....bad
Offtopics that at least are the focus of coins....tolerable
Watching a spudhead get his panties in a bunch over this......PRICELESS!

Foreign bullion (those are not coins) do not belong in this forum either as per forum rules. Therefore I would respectfully request taking posts like this to where they belong -- this is not a place for you to show off, it is a place to discuss US coins. Thank you for your consideration...Mike
Those _ARE_ coins. Hard metallic disc produced by the government, complete with a denomination.
The only thing I could agree with is that this thread might of started in the world forum.
...so...
Stephanie, you totally blew it. 50 demerits. You are on probation.
<< <i>I dont have a fetish!
I really like the Panda walking through the reeds or whatever those are. What year is that? Julie
<< <i>I really like the Panda walking through the reeds or whatever those are. What year is that? Julie >>
Both 2001 and 2002 have that design. And the reeds you refer to are bamboo.
2001 and 2002.
<< <i>Why do you guys like Pandas so much. Do you really know what Pandas are? They are Rosie Odonells lookalikes, See when Rosie puts on makeup and leaves her house after dark she is really the Panda you see. All of the other people are dressed up as Rosie lookalikes. Why do you think Ling Ling has a problem have little pandas, because Rosie doesn't go that way and we have to wait for China to let Rosie adopt some more.
You NUT!!!!
<< <i>This _IS_ a place to show off your stuff. Some of the most interesting threads are about new purchases.

<< <i>Julie, as other have stated, thats a 2002. For 2001 and 2002, identical desgns were used for the first , and last time in the panda series. The Chinese government wanted to have a single design, and that was to be it for all future pandas. However, the outcry from collectors was so great, and the sales for 2002 so poor (hint: lower mintage year) that they were forced to abandon the solo design concept thankfully. Part of the great thing about these coins is the ever changing designs. Here is the 2002 in gold:
So, I quickly go on Ebay and buy a proof of both years and after I win them I notice at the very bottem of the auction the seller has added "this is not a proof, made a mistake but will still run auction" just my luck I win an auction with no shills involved and it's the wrong coin. But I will keep them they were a great deal. Back to ebay to get proofs
