That country has serious issues. If you followed their elections at all you can see some of the problems. The "President" needs to really figure a few things out, mainly how to step down.

i agree. too bad they booted the "white" people off the lands who
actually grew food and employed so many people handing the land
over to lazy jerks who did nothing with it. why am i not surprised
so many people from africa would love to live in the US where you
    can make a living.

just goes to show we need to count our blessings in the US....

Idiots.. incapable of governing themselves... and a bunch of greedy psychopaths trying to rule, and in the process killing each other by the thousands... what a pathetic situation. Cheers, RickO

...and I get sick of hearing libs outcry for the "poor" in our country. Our nation's "poor" live like kings compared to the poor of other nations and our "poor" isn't victim to drought, famine, civil wars and evil dictators. Most of our "poor" are victim of their own slothfulness and lack of ambition.

This filho de puta was the first democratically elected president of one of the most prosperous countries in Africa and singlehandedly turned it into a Third World basket case.

I was in Zimbabwe in 1982. The civil war between the Shona tribes people in the north versus the Ndbele tribes people in the south was about over. The country had very good infrastructure, was exporting many tons of foodstuffs to its neighbors, was mineral rich, and had plenty of natural beauty to attract tourism (Victoria Falls, Lake Kariba, etc).

Flash forward 26 years. The guy is still 'president.' Many have been murdered; many more have fled. I believe the average person in Zimbabwe is now worse off than the average Haitian. It's worse than disgusting.

    A frightening and cautionary tale.
