very tough date (very, very) and a nice original look to boot!
I'm not great at grading these in this range, but I'd say VF-20, and solid
Oh, please post this on the Barber thread ... I think the serious Barber-heads will really enjoy it (I know I do), and will give you some great feedback

Thanks for all of the kind words so far everyone. Grades appear to be all over the place on this one, which is why I chose this one to post. I will post the grade tomorrow morning...
Looks like a VF20 to me. The strength of LIBERTY and overall eye appeal could push it to VF25, but the wear on the wings and banner restrains the grade, IMO. It's also PCGS graded, and they seem to be really strict these days.
Grade revealed in first post too, PCGS F-15. This is why it's a personal favorite of mine in my collection. It's graded correctly in my opinion, it's strong for the grade and has really nice eye appeal. Thanks for participating!
first of all, this is a terrific coin for the grade and date.
I graded it F15 due to the flatness and overall wear on the hair above the forehead... there was really no separation of the hairline and the forehead. While LIBERTY is well defined, the flatness in key areas really makes it hard to give it a VF20. Nice reverse, however alittle more wing detail would help for VF20.
This is a keeper regardless of the grade

Patches, after comparing you're images to a 1914-S that I sold awhile back (also in a PCGS F-15 holder), both coin's appear to have equal detail and both appear a little undergraded. At least PCGS is consistent.
even though the results are shown already, I'll say VF-20, and I guarantee if you resubmitted you could get that into a VF-20 holder, although there's no reason too of course. Just saying. Very nice coin! How much do you want for it?
Yeah, those two are twins...they must've spent their time in the same pocket back in the day. I have no plans to resubmit the coin. I'd rather own a coin very strong for the grade, then a coin with a higher number on the plastic and it seeming ho hum. Selling would be a different matter, but this one is off the market for awhile

Nice coin and congrats on the addition to your collection!
Edited to add, if the grade is constant with barbercoins.org, then it's a VF20 possibly a VF30 which was my original guess.

I think the eye-appeal could definitely grade it up from a 20 to the 25.
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.
I'm in the VF 25 camp.
