Until....you dropped this baby in the loo and you froze for a second You just got slapped with reality of standing there in front of the mirror with a dull gillette shave on one hand and a coin you just dropped in the toilet with another? What will you do? Pick up the coin or go commando? (very cool coin by the way)

Too many little lights.

Try one large light source, positioned so that the medal is treated like sculpture. (Can't get rid of her "proper double chin," but she should look more personable.)

It's worse than that. Even when you have good results, you wonder if you could do better.

I checked the EXIF file info of your image but, all your camera settings were removed by your photo editing software.

Anyways... the images look a bit soft so, try this.

Make sure the camera is stable on a tripod.

Set to ISO 100.

Set the aperture to F11 to F16 so the depth of field will be correct.

Use center focus.

Try two lights one on each side of the coin at 9 & 3 O'clock... if that doesn't light the image to your liking, use a third light at 12 O'clock.

Maybe try backing the camera up. Maybe you are too close? Also you may not
need that much lighting.......If that fails mail it to me!!!
