New 1936 D Walker

What do you think? My white balance was a little off, the coin is very white aside from the golden obverse toning.
It is raw, I think MS 63 - there are some slight obverse breaks in the luster, but the reverse is very clean. I know next to nothing about grading walkers - any thoughts from those who do would be appreciated.

<< <i>Could be AU because of the breaks in luster that you mention. Or because the middle set of skirt lines are weak, but this could be weak strike. Tough to grade from the pics. >>
That's what I don't know, weak strike vs wear. I don't think AU, the luster breaks are very slight - much like chatter you might see in the fields of a morgan and do not look like any kind of rub... I'll see if I can get a better image.

As for discerning mint state from AU, don't use the skirt lines or the central detail. Use the bust for wear or rub, and the right field on the obv for broken luster (cartwheel effect), and use the eagle's neck feathers for wear/rub on the reverse.

Congrats on a super sharp addition to your collection!
