Well, I finally got around to it...

...and finally photo'd our 'Tantalizing Twenty Center'. The pictures came out alright, but i couldn't get the lighting quite how I wanted it. image The fields are incredible, thanks to Russ and Mark Feld!

Ohhh well, here are my pics. And sorry Russ, I'm about a month late on when I said i'd post them.

I would've never in a million years guessed that was a business strike. It looks proof and even seems to have squared off rims.

    Absolutely fantastic coin.

I agree with the above 100%. I've never found this design appealing, but your coin could single-handedly change my mind.

These caught our attention when we got the chance to grab a very nice AU-58 for cheap(shown below). The problem I have with them is anything below AU just looks like junk 95% of the time IMHO. So we were never interested in them, now if we come across any nice ones we pick them up. So far we are at...well...2. lol

Thanks for the kind words guys.

that coin certainly has been blessed...the toned rims and frosty devices really come together nicely.......at Long Beach last May I don't think I saw even one eye catching twenty center, let alone one like that....

...is that a new enough NGC slab that they could have given a star but didn't? ? ?

I think it's a new enough slab. I'm more surprised it didn't get the PL than a *.

Yep...very nice coin. Some of the 75-P coins come PL because the proofs and business strikes were struck from the same single set of dies. There are two distinct die states...with and without the obverse polish lines.

I think I know which one mine is image I was looking at the proofs and they don't exhibit the die polish lines, so are the ones with the lines the later of the bunch to be struck or were the dies polished once again right after the proofs were finished being struck? Thanks for the info Lane!

I think I understand what you are asking. I may have seen proofs with the die polish lines (if I remember correctly...I would have to check my notes). The business strikes do come from both die states...about that I am positive. The polish lines are present on the later die state.
